El Pasado Simple se usa para hablar de acciones, eventos o situaciones ya concluidas:– They finished the work yesterday.(Ellos terminaron el trabajo ayer.)
– My sister opened a saving account.(Mi hermana abrió una cuenta de ahorros.)
– Peter and I went to Mary's house last Sunday.(Pedro y yo fuimos a casa de Mary el domingo pasado.)
– Tom wrote an interesting essay.(Tom escribió un ensayo interesante.)

Estructuras:● Afirmativa:
Sujeto + Verbo (En pasado) (+ O/C/A)● Negativa:
Sujeto + Did + NOT + Verbo (+ O/C/A) (Didn't) [En su forma base]
● Interrogativa:
(Palabra + Did + Sujeto + Verbo (+O/C/A)Interrogativa) [En su forma base]
1C = Complemento / O = Objeto Directo o Indirecto / A = Adverbio/Frase Adverbial
Ejemplos:
● Paul played the piano in my birthday party last year.(Paul tocó el piano en mi fiesta de cumpleaños el año pasado.)
● Did he play the piano in your birthday party, too?(¿Él también tocó el piano en tu fiesta de cumpleaños?)
● He did not play the piano in Susan's party.(Él no tocó el piano en la fiesta de Susana.)
