Doctoralprogrammesincludestudies,researchandpreparationofadoctoralthesis.Applicationscanbesubmittedandareconsideredonceperyear;thestudiesstartinOctober(exceptforLAST-JDprogramme).Enrollmentcriteriaarespecificforeachprogramme,however,therearesomecriteriacommontothemall:• Researchproposal;• InterviewwiththeDoctoralCommittee(defenceoftheresearchproposal);• Additionalpointsforscientificpublications(notmandatory);• AverageofevaluationsaccordingtoMaster’sdiplomasupplement.Uponcompletionofadoctoralprogrammeandpublicdefenceofthethesis,thedoctor’sdegreeisawarded.

What is MRU?Mykolas Romeris University is a leading institution ofhigher education in Lithuania, according to criteria ofinternationalization. It is a state university with about18 000 students, including 500 international degree-seekingandexchangestudentsfromalmost50countries.

Is the diploma recognized worldwide?After your studies you will receive Bachelor’s Degreediploma, which is recognized in all the countrieswhich have signed the Lisbon Convention (signed by50 countries and international organizations, such asEuropean Union, USA, Australia, Canada, Israel, Turkey,Ukraine,Belarus,Kazakhstan,Azerbaijan,Russiaetc).ThatmeansyoucanbesurethatthequalificationsgainedinLithuaniawillbevalidinallthesecountries.
How long will I be studying for?Asingledegreetakesthreeandahalfyearstocomplete.Later, you can continue your Master’s Degree studies,whichwilltakeoneandhalfortwoyears.
Where will I study?BychoosingstudiesatMRUyouwillbestudyingintheLithuaniancapitalcityofVilnius.Wehaveagreencampus,surroundedbyapark,8kilometersawayfromtheVilniuscitycentre.
How much will it cost?Tuition fee for undergraduate studies varies from 1128to 2160 Euros per year. You will also need to rent anapartmentordorm room.Weoffer accommodationoncampus in the University’s Students House.
