This project focuses on designing a new dance practice space to replace and expand the old dance and classroom structure on the UC Berkeley Campus. This design separates the program into individual segments, which allows for freedom of form that is inspired by organic shapes for each part to become unique to every function. The separation allows for a transitional space between programs that creates an unexpectec quality to each space. Moreover, it gives a dual quality where the visitors remain inside the building, while it creates both a perception to be outside and to be inside a private space.

Mountain View Cemetery ChapelThis is a non-denominational Chapel where procession starts with the outside landscape that brings visitors into spirituality in more than one way. By breaking planes, nature enters the chapel, thus visitors are exposed to its beauty and serenity. This is an enclosed and protective composition, yet open to a courtyard that offers both an inside and outside world where visitors can ind spiritual enlightenment.

Berkeley Aquatic Park Storm Water RemediationThis is a proposal for the remediation and treatment of rain water in the city of Berkeley. Through extended technology research on the subject and a focus on educational awarness for to the visitors of the Berkeley aquatic park, I designed a water treatment plant that connects the city to the bay, becomes part of the landscape of the park, and is a place where biciclists, pedestrians, and even driv-ers are exposed to the reme-diation process of water.
