Roth PEXc System Tubing is thebackbone of the Roth PlumbingSystem. This state of the art materialis made by “cross-linking” (X) polyethylene (PE) tubing – the samematerial used to make plastic milkjugs – with a high-energy electronbeam (c). The cross-linking processadds additional bonds between the polyethylene molecules to makeit stronger, more resilient and resistant to higher temperatures and pressures than other plastic pipesystems. Unlike most similar prod-ucts from other manufacturers, wedon’t use chemicals to cross-link ourtubing. Unlike other types of PEXtubing that are cross-linked by pass-ing the tubing through a chemicalbath, our electron beam methodresults in very uniform cross-linkingthrough the entire wall thickness ofthe tubing – and we don’t have toworry about rinsing all the chemicalresidue from the inside of the tubingwhen we’re finished.
