TYPE OF NUMBER PATTERN

Page 5: Pattern Number

From this chart , we can see by the multiplication of 9 and 11,the straight line

each other be form. Even it is not vertically or horizontlly straight nor from bottom to top

or from one end to another end but it is still produce a pattern that is straight line. This

pattern is called a diagonal.

Page 6: Pattern Number

From this chart, we can conclude that the pattern of diamond is form by the sum

of number for each opposite corner then divided by 2 will form the same number of

answer. For example in this chart :

(26 + 86) = 112 = (53 + 59) Then ,when 112 divided by 2, it will be get the same

anwers and the anwer is 56.

When the all multiple of 5 and 10 are form together either in increasing or

decreasing order, the parallel line of number pattern can be formed. As example :

Number 5 until 95 in order of multiple of 5 and the number 10 until 100 in order of

multiple of 10 is a parallel with each others.

From this chart,a parallelogram shape of number pattern can be formed when

the sums of entries in opposite corners form the same number of answer. As example :

(42 + 70) = 112 = (49 + 63)

Futhermore ,the parallelogram pattern can be formed by multiplication of 7 at the

number of corner.As example : 6 X 7 = 42 , 7 X 7 = 49 , 9 X 7 = 53 and 10 X 7 = 70.

From the chart, the number pattern of triangle that I has discovered. All of this

number is multiples of 3. For example 24×3=72, 16×3=48, 4×3=12 so if we join all the

answer we can get a triangle shape.

There are seven parallelograms which can be seen from the number chart with a

highlith of pattern of the multiplication of 6. However the pattern does not go along with

the increasing order for the multiplication of 6.Actually that pattern can also be

interpreted as two large parallelograms overlapping each other diagonally on the right

side. Interestingly, some assume that the pattern above resembles “ketupat” shape.

From this chart,we can determine a X-shape from a number pattern. If we sums

a number of the entries opposite corner and divided with 2 we can get a equal number

of the center of arrow. There are 45+67÷2=56=47+65÷2.

If we arrange the multiplication of 5 in an increasing order,we can see a zig-zag

pattern. The pattern is becoming apparent especially if we highlight the pattern with the

lines which will resemble a zig-zag pattern.

REFLECTION

During complete this task, we found lot of new experiences that we have not

experienced until today. Its began when our basic mathematics lecturer, Mr Tan Cho

Chiew submit assignments to our classes Bahasa Melayu1 (SJKC).We feel panic and

fear of course .However, we take a positive attitude to accept this task and determined

to do our best.

Because my friends and I were not clear about the demands of this task, we

ultimately seek clarification and help from sister Elisha Paul PPISMP PJ Semester 3.

After long discussions, we asked to borrow the basic mathematical books in the

Page 50: Pattern Number

Resource Centre for IPG Kent used as reference material. We ask the opinion of Mr Tan

Choo Chiew on drafts of our work that have done.

Then, we were asked to add some more information to complete the course our

work.In addition, we provide a number of collaboration with Mr Tan Cho Chiew on draft

assignments that we have complete it.After everything goes smoothly, finally we were

able to do successfully completed the assistance and thank for the support from

various parties involved.
