Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) is proud to announce its new accreditations in carotid

artery stenting (CAS) and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) by the Accreditation for

Cardiovascular Excellence (ACE™). PCI includes life-saving heart attack care like angioplasty, while

CAS is an advanced procedure that widens narrowed portions of a patient’s carotid artery to improve

or restore blood flow.

NGMC is also currently rated Georgia’s #1 heart hospital for the seventh consecutive

year (2006 – 2012). In fact, for 2012, NGMC is one of only six hospitals in the nation

to rank #1 in all four cardiac categories measured by HealthGrades®.

With all of these awards and accreditations, why go anywhere else?
