BUILDING A BETTERFOURHEMOUTH

NO INGREASE IN COUNGIL TNKSince 2007, your ConservativeCouncil has delivered real valuefor money. We've worked hard tokeep Council Tax as low as wecan. And, we've delivered on ourpromise of making lastingefficiencies.

We've explored and thenimplemented new ways olrunning things. This has led tosavings of E11 .2 million in ourfirst three years, backed up witha further reduction of f7.7 millionin201O12011. We now anticipatemaking additional savings off7.3 million in 2011 12O12.

All of the action we've taken hashelped us prepare for today'sdifficult financial circumstances. Our care in settingaside funds softens theimpact of the spendingcuts we now face.

It's all about continuing

rto provide the servicesthat reflect yourpriorities and doing soin the most productivemanner. We know thatit's both a testing and aworrying time for ourresidents. By freezing

this year's Council Tax, we'redoing our bit to help you.

Your Local Conservatives Johann Edward,Anniina Davie and Theo Stratton, welcomingthe Council Tax announcement.

A VOLUNTARY SEGTOR AT THEHEART OF OUR COMMUNITYOne of the core strengths ofBournemouth is the vibrancy of ourvoluntary sector. lt's wonderful that somany people get involved and "do theirbit" to make the lives of others better. The range of voluntary activity and actiontaking place throughout Bournemouthcovers all sorts of areas. Whether it'sworking with young people or providingsupport to our older residents, it's hard toimagine just where we'd be without allthese volunteers and organisations.

Your Conservative Council is alwayskeen to help support the voluntary sectorwherever we can. That's why we reparticularly excited that one of its mostprominent activists has joined our team.Blair Crawford is the Director of the

Bournemouth YMCA and has beenheavily involved in a huge range ofcommunity programmes.

With his experience and commitment,Blalr hopes to play a key part in "Buildinga Better Bournemouth."

Explaining his desire to join theConservatives, Blair said:"Bournemouth's Conservatives haveshown consisfenf support for theVoluntary Secfor and recognise its truevalue of making one plus one equal morethan two. They are committed toproiecting ihe vulnerabie people ofBournemouth and that's why I want to bepart of the vision for the Big Society thatDavid Cameron sefs oul."
