Bright colors
Diane vonFurstenberg
For those with chromopho-bia*; cover your eyes. The colors of this coming spring are bold with a capital B. Yellow, turqoise, emerald green and pink were some of the most popular colors on the runway, along with red and navy blue.
*The fear of colors, you learn so-mething new every day!

Black and
whiteBoth on their own and to-gether, black and white is one of the strongest trends this spring. Seen on the runway’s of designers such as Jason Wu and Alexander Wang, a monochronic look is the more sophisticated al-ternative to mixing different bright colors.

LeatherA classic fall trend that doesn’t have to end just because the temperature is rising. Leather was a dominant material on the S/S runway’s, used on dresses, skirts, tops and jackets. Preferably glossy and shiny, creating a wet look.
Stripes

Horizontal, vertical, diago-nal... Sailor style navy stri-pes has always been a po-pular spring look. This sea-son the stripes are not only seen on boat neck sweaters, but on whole look as on the runway’s of Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs, to name a few.

Shiny metallics in general, and silver in particular, was an important element on many runway’s. Just as with the leather, the trend is glossy and I-can-almost-see-my-reflection high-shine.
