Deburring Transmission Parts Harper Surface Finishing Systems Inc. Meriden, Conn.

This machine deburrs an input nut flange of a trans- mission part utilizing an indexing rotary table with six power driven spindles. Three buffing heads utilizing a variety of nylon monofilament brushes deburr the helical hob spline end at the minimum rate of 160 pieces per hour. The machine is equipped with an automatic pick- and-place unit, coolant delivery and recovery system, and state-of-the-art electronics.

C-170 White Lightning Rouge color buffs stainless steel to a mirror-bright finish after the metal has been buffed down smooth with a stainless steel buffing com- pound. C-170 is also used to color buff chromium plated work to a higher and brighter luster and to remove stains and frosted burn marks caused by overplating. Each bar is 2 in. X 2 in, X 10 in. and approximately z3/4 lbs.
