MT-CET 2013: Important Notification
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra has issued an important
notification regarding Maharashtra Technical Common Entrance Test (MT-CET 2013).
DTE has asked MT-CET 2013 aspirants to register their names with respective schools or
junior colleges, which will then have to send the requirement of application forms to the
notified colleges by February 18.
The test, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 16th May, 2013, is being
conducted for admissions into first year of four year full time degree courses in
Engineering / Technology and Pharmacy in the State of Maharashtra commencing in the
academic year 2013-14.
Till last year, the Maharashtra Health and Technology-Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET)
used to be the common entrance exam for admissions to engineering, pharmacy and
health sciences degree courses in the state. However, it will now be called Maharashtra
Technical Common Entrance Test (MT-CET).
The test will now be considered only for admissions in engineering and pharmacy courses,
following the state government’s decision to join Medical Council of India's National
Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET) scheme for admissions to medical and dental degree
programmes from the academic year 2013-14.
