Egypt. Website: www.altera.com
Working at Altera-Enpirion (Power Business Unit) Egypt office in the field of power electronics concentrating in
DC-DC converters. Altera acquired Enpirion Inc. in May 2013. I have developed a wealth of product experience
along with cross-functional and cross-border skills to manage projects effectively.
My responsibilities encompass:
o Operate & validate POL (point-of-load) DC-DC converter semiconductor devices with power levels
ranging from 1W up to 50W operating at very high frequencies up to 15 MHz designed for advanced
digital IC loads.
o Detect, observe and document anomalies in suspicious devices.
o Develop technical and procedural documentation of the of devices’ behavior under test.
o Organize and present characterization data and results to management and the design community.
o Developed strong proficiency with lab equipment (scopes, meters, DVMs, power supplies, function
generators...etc.
o Execute failure analysis.
o Strong familiarity with data sheets, mechanical drawings, assemblies, and BOM structures.
o Design electronic circuits to develop our testing methods for the company’s products: e.g., Slew circuit
power supply, Resistor bank, Slammer circuits, Regulation circuits, Bulk capacitor boards, Jumpers
for hardware replacement parts to decrease the rework.
o Ownership for Enpirion product validation where I am the responsible for defining validation
schedules, resources, and present plan to other departments’ stakeholders.
o Work closely with other teams, locally and in the U.S., to obtain inputs to formulate the best
understanding of different designs and corresponding device behavior.

Education
(Jun.2009) Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Department of Electrical Power and Machines, Faculty of Engineering, South Valley University, Aswan, Egypt
Final Graduation project:
Design and develop a distribution system for street lighting. My contributions to the project included:
o Control system design for safe operation of the street lighting system.
o Distribute the different loads according to the available supplies.
o Selecting the types of cables and lamps depending on the type of the street.
o How to augment electric supply to the street lighting by adding PV elements.
Graduation project grade: Excellent.
