LillianPravdaFounder&CEO(ChiefEyesightOptimist)Born with a cataract, Lillian underwent several surgeries to promote as much vision as possible given hercongenitalcondition. Sheenduredheriirstsurgerynineweeksafterbirth,andhadasecondsurgerywhenshewasiiveyearsold.ItoccurredtoLillianthen,shecoulddosomethingtohelpotherchildreninsimilarsituations.Rather than sit aroundworrying andhunting for information, including qualiiiedmedical resources, childrenandtheirfamiliesshouldhavesomethingtoeasetheirmindsbeforedecidingtohavesurgeryaswellaswheninthe hospital. Lillian took the initiative and, at the outset, began distributing toys and books to children in apreoperativepediatricsurgicalunit,andassuringfamiliesthatthe“childrenwillbejustGine.”Themoretimeshespentinthehospital,themoreLillianlearnedthatnotallchildreninneedofcareareasfortunateasshewas,andstillis,toreceiveit.ManychildrenintheUnitedStatesandaroundtheworlddonothaveaccesstotherightdoctors,hospitals,medicine,glasses,andvisiontherapy. If,infact,theydohaveproximityaccess,familiesmaynothavethenecessaryiinancialresources.

Lillianrecallswaitingandspeakingwithamotherandfatherwhiletheirblindbabyreceivedacorneatransplant.TheyhadtravelledtoNewYorkCityfromtheCaribbeannotonlybecausecorneaswereavailableinNewYork,butaqualiiiedphysicianhadagreedtoperformthesurgeryprobono,andanotherfamilyarrangedandfundedtheirtravel. Lillianlearned,atthattime,thatwhiletherearemanychildreninneedofeyecare,therearealso“generouspeople”inthisworldwhoarewillingtohelpothersgainthevitalaccessandsight-savingmeasuresincluding:medicalpractitioners,hospitalsandophthalmologycenters,andcontributorswhoprovide iinancialsupportforthosewhocannotaffordtheservices.

LillianPravdacreatedVisionForandFromChildrenattheageofninetohelpchildreninneedofanddeprivedofaccesstoocularsurgeriesandvisionservicesgetthecaretheysodesperatelyneed...anddeserve.

To date,shehashelped27,626childrenreceivethegiftofsightandgeneratedservicesvaluedat$26,162,600.

Morethan3millionliveshavebeenimpactedthroughLillian’smessageontheimportanceofpublicserviceandhumanitarianism. Born out of her experiences in public service, Lillian foundedGIVEEnterprise—venturesincluding an unparalleled digital technology, a game, television show and special event concept that is beingdeemed “the nation’s greatest public service initiative ever.” In addition, shehas authored a book, the title ofwhichishertrademarkedmaxim,ImpactBeginswith‘I.’™

Now,atageseventeen,LillianhasthesupportofTheJeffersonAwards,aservice-orientedorganizationoperatingsince the 1970s and founded by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Senator Robert Taft and Sam Beard. Shereceiveda2014National JeffersonAward, referred toas theNobelPrize forpublic service, in thecategoryofOutstandingNationalandGlobalServicebyaYoungAmerican.ShewashonoredinNewYorkCitywithMarianoRivera (NY Yankees), TomBrokaw andAndrew Shue. Previously,hewasExecutiveVicePresidentandCorporateOfiicerofStrategy,BusinessDevelopment,MarketingServices and Global e-Business at Nabisco Holdings Corp. from January 1998 through December 2000; anddeparted Nabisco, along with other senior executives, following Nabisco's public auction and sale to PhillipMorris/KraftFoodsinlateDecember2000.

Mr. Klein came to Nabisco with about 12 years of consumer product company experience and 17 years ofmanagement consulting experience. He directed Nabisco’s long-term strategy, assured the alignment ofcorporate strategies with operating unit and functional group plans, developed and implemented cross-company internal and external business development (acquisitions, divestitures, licensing, JV's), and directedintegratedmarketingintelligence,marketingservices(i.e.,marketresearch,consumerpromotion,mediabuying)andglobale-Business. HealsodirectedtheNabiscoacquisitionofUnitedBiscuit(votedEuropeanDealoftheYearin2000)andtheauctionofNabisco(largestauctionofaU.S.-basedpubliccompanyandvotedU.S.DealoftheYearin2000).

Mr.KleinjoinedNabiscofromTheCambridgeGroup,wherehewasaPartner&ManagingDirectorfor7yearsofitseastcoastofiice,whichheopenedin1991.PriortojoiningTheCambridgeGroup,hewasaseniorpartnerfor10 years atMarketingCorporation ofAmerica,where he led theConsumerProductsmanagement consultingpractice.
