Catch a glimpse of the latest in modern outdoor art forms – ‘’Grass Art'' - by Jason Hodges, at the Lawn Solutions Australia site at this year’s Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. Jason Hodges is a four-time Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS) Gold medallist.

One of Australia’s favourite backyard landscape larrikins, Hodges’ garden design at this year’s show was inspired by a childhood love for one of life’s most simple pleasures – a luscious lawn. ‘’ The humble backyard is the breeding ground for sporting heroes globally. It is also a sacred place for people of all ages to escape the increasing demands of our fast paced modern world,’’ Hodges said. According to Hodges, after navigating more than a decade of drought and diminishing lawns sizes in most corners of the country, instant lawn and turf landscapes were definitely back on the radar Australia wide. ''People are starting to think about the usability of their whole back and front yard space and are replacing the recent trend of rocks and chip bark with luscious lawns again, he said. ‘’Instant lawns are affordable to create and easy to maintain,’’ he said. The rare and unique ‘’Mown-A-Lisa’’ Grass Art masterpiece on display in the MIFGS garden is part of a mosaic wall creation to showcase and inspire people to consider how a simple lawn landscape could potentially transform every blank landscape canvass around the nation into a ‘’work of art’’. Hodges is at the show this year to formally launch the new Lawn Solutions Australia brand. Everyone deserves a Mown-a-Lisa in their own backyard – whatever shape or form they choose this to take, he said. ‘’Through my association with Lawn Solutions Australia, I look forward to supporting a national group of elite turf professionals to help better educate the broader population and end users of turf about how to love their lawn and to help turn every residential home yard into an environmental master piece,'' he said.
