Administrators’ Message
Dear Parents and Guardians:
Welcome to the 2021-22 school year! We hope you had a great
summer and that your children are ready for another year of
learning and growth! At J.J. Bowlen School, we challenge each
student to meet their full academic potential in mind, body, &
spirit. We know that there is much work to do to catch everyone
up after the interrupted learning that took place over the past
two school years due to Covid-19. That is why we have added an
extra block in the four most important subjects-Language Arts,
Math, Religion, & Physical Education!
Our start-up time is a tad later this year with Registration now
at 8:23 a.m. The six-block schedule continues (three in the
morning and three in the afternoon) which allows us to have
those 55-minute classes that are the perfect length for Junior
High! Lunch is from 11:17 a.m. until 12:01 p.m. and dismissal is
2:54 p.m. Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri and at 11:55 a.m. on the half-day
Thursdays. The Thursday Block and dismissal times in Pow-
erSchool and on the student schedules handed out today are in-
accurate. The actual Thursday School Times are on the next
page of this Newsletter (note that Thursday Blocks are a bit
shorter at about 48 min).
Thank you in advance for your support over the coming school
year. Communication between the school and home is a key
component of a child’s academic success and PowerSchool is a
wonderful online tool to track your child’s progress.
We remain steadfast in our hope that the current pandemic
measures in place will not be needed for much longer. Together
we shall overcome!

Dan Pagnucco, Assistant Principal
