Historical enemies of the Hittites include the Later Achaean/Mycenaeans, New Kingdom
Egyptians, Kassite and Middle Babylonian, Mitanni, Syro-Canaanites, Middle Kingdom
Assyrians and Sea Peoples.
A Hittite army must include a king or prince and at least one unit of chariots and one unit of
spearmen.

One sub-commander may be designated as “Syrian”. The “Allies” rule (page 101 of the CoE
rulebook) applies to him and he may use his ML and DL modier on Syro-Canaanite Infantry,
Syrian Chariots and Syrian Archers.
