Weekly sight singing classes are designed to supplement sight-singing covered in voice lessons. These classes will help vocalists and instrumentalists learn how to read music, develop ear training and learn how to use the solfege syllables to identify pitches. Stu-dents interested in entering high level choirs in middle school and high school need to be proficient in sight singing! Sight singing also helps instrumentalists develop a greater understanding of how to read rhythms and intervals.

SIGHT-SINGING CLASSES
Weekly theory classes supplement the theory covered in private lessons. Students learn how music is “put together” and why it works. Because the classes focus on the mechanics of music, all students can attend regardless of the instrument they play. These classes reinforce scales and chords, develop ear training, and help with note reading and notation.
