The First Ascent Foundation The Foundation provides our network of people committed to excellence in leadership, an opportunity to keep abreast of the latest ideas and solutions for leaders and their teams. The Foundation provides three workshops a year, each themed on a relevant issue of leadership. 2013 is the fourth year since the Foundation was launched. It operates on a not-for profit basis.

Building Employee Engagement Building and maintaining employee engagement in the current business climate is critical for those organisations that are wishing to succeed. During this workshop we will explore the impact that successful employee engagement programmes are having. We will look at what works, what does not work and why it is helpful to understand the latest research and neuroscience evidence related to employee engagement. As with all Foundation workshops there will be case studies and input from subject matter experts, so that you will come away with practical tools and ideas to implement in your own organisation.

Who should attend Foundation workshops? People who wish to keep up to date on leadership issues. People who wish to share their experiences and ideas openly with peers, in a relaxed and stimulating environment . The workshop includes subject matter experts who will be sharing their insights and experience. You will be in great company!

Workshop Format The workshop begins with an evening meal on the 23rd October, allowing you to meet the other attendees and get to know each other. A full day workshop is provided on the 24th October. A side benefit of Foundation events, over and above the core CPD benefit, is the network of experienced and helpful people you will build. Location

The workshop will be hosted at fabulous Madingley Hall, Cambridge. Directions will be sent following registration.
