WHAT AND HOW FAULT MOUNTAINS ARE FORMED ?
Fault mountains are formed when 2 or more plates move towards or apart each other and the extreme pressure helps the plates to collide and form the fault block mountains.
Fault block mountains are formed between two parallel faults.
FEATURES OF FAULT BLOCK MOUNTAINS
Fault Block mountains are formed between 2 faults and they have a rift valley besides it. And they are mostly in ranges.
Fault Block Mountains are in the shape of a block when looked from up and a satellite picture.
The plates which form it have very extreme pressure and the plates move in a conversional manner or diversion manner.
They are made up of old, hard rocks and they have flat or slightly sloping surface.
USEFULNESS OF FAULT BLOCK MOUNTAINS
Lakes in the rift valley provide fish (Fishing)
Provides water for domestic and agricultural use
