Challenges Faced by Citizens
1. Transparency
• Are we believable/credible?
• Are we transparent?
• Do we exhibit a sense of justice and fair play?
• Are we open-minded? (left, center, right)
• Do we always aim for social good?
• Do we have a disclaimer?
2. Filtering real news from the noise

3. Responsible Posting
• Non-libelous
• Based on firsthand experience/info or reliable mainstream media information
• Don’t shoot the messenger! Focus on the issues.
• Mistakes will be made because there is no mold for social media evolution. We continue to learn from our mistakes.
4. Constructive Engagement

5. The ‘Troll Patrol’
• Maintain a respectful stance. Remember, your conversation is seen by the entire online public.
• A troll is often paid to disrupt & foment anger. Expecting to convince him to come over to your side is useless.
• IGNORE! Don’t feed the trolls!
• Exposing black ops is often best way to stop it
