DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, VINDHYANAGAR PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF September 2019– 2020
CLASSES LKG – II 5th SEPTEMBER 2019: Teachers Day was celebrated in the main wing with great
enthusiasm.All school appointees were very excited to be playing the role of their favourite
teacher. The Pupil-teacher very amicably managed discipline in the school ,while students of
classes IX to XII kept their teachers entertained by presenting melodious songs ,graceful
dance numbers and brain storming games.The day concluded with the distribution of gifts to
teachers by our Principal Sir Dr. Janardan Pandey.
20th SEPTEMBER 2019: Hindi Recitation Competition was held in the Primary Wing .It
was an open competition in which 180 students recited meaningful and moral some poems in
the first round and won everyones heart. 60 students were selected to participate in the second
round .All the participants recited inspiring poems but a few of them were really captivating
such as “Pani Hai Anmol” by Adrija of Lkg , “Swachh Bharat” by Daksha Pandey of Class
Prep C , “Saugandh Mujhe Is Mitti Ki” written by Shri Narendra Modi presented by Advaita
of Class I A and hilarious poem “Buffet Ki Dawat” by Ayaan of Class II C.
27th SEPTEMBER 2019: Special Assembly was held to celebrate Durga Puja .Little
students of Class I brought ambience of Durga Pandal on stage .The whole atmosphere
looked serene and divine .The programme commenced with the welcome of our beloved
Principal Sir Dr. Janardan Pandey followed by the appearance of Goddess Panch Durga .The
famous dance of Bengal Dhunachi and later Garba were also presented .The programme
concluded with Durga Aarti. Our Principal Dr. Janardan Pandey appreciated the efforts made
by the children and their mentor for their wonderful guidance.
30th SEPTEMBER 2019: Children enjoyed playing the exciting games Freeze Tag ( LKG &
Prep) and Cat And The Mouse ( I & II ) in the open and learnt to work in unison.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH
Finally the stage of Primary Assembly Hall has been illuminated with the brand new LED
lights.
SUBJECT RELATED ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED DURING THIS MONTH CLASS- LKG ENGLISH The children enjoyed making two letter words through an activity “’”.
HINDI The chidren were delighted to do the activity- “Run to find the correct letter”, in order to
learn the correct order of vyanjans.

MATHS The children enjoyed doing flash card activity in order to learn missing numbers.
CLASS– PREP
ENGLISH The children joyfully learned the long ‘a’ & ‘e’ sound and short ‘a’ & ‘e’ sound through an
activity –“ Jump In or Out”.
HINDI
The children made merry by learning ki matra through word puzzle activity.
MATHS The children rejoiced learning shapes by making different shapes using grains or seeds.
EVS The children had fun learning rules of being healthy, being smart by doing activity of
segregating dry/wet waste.
CLASS– I
ENGLISH The children enjoyed learning the concept of vowels and consonants by playway method. .
HINDI The children made merry by playing – “Shabdon ki antakshari” to enrich their hindi
vocabulary.
MATHS The children rejoiced learning to read the time through a model of clock made by using
paper.
EVS The children had fun dressing up like their family members and enacting them in order to
learn the concept of small, large and joint family.
CLASS II
ENGLISH The children made merry doing the activity- “Nouns In Disguise”, to learn the concept of
pronouns.
HINDI The children had fun recognising birds on the basis of their sound and colour.
MATHS
The children had fun making lemonade in different capacity container in order to learn the
concept of capacity.
EVS The children were delighted to make post cards and envelopes on their own in order to learn
about means of communication, provided by the services in our neighbourhood.
PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF September 2019– 2020 CLASSES III TO V
5th September, 2019: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with a great pomp and show
in the school. Students had organised a wonderful programme. They performed
dance, skit, song in honour of teachers. They also conducted many games for the
teachers. The teachers were overwhelmed with love, respect and honour given to
them by the students.
12th September, 2019 : Swachhata Exhibition was held in the school for
classes III- V on the theme Best out of Waste. Wonderful creativity was exhibited by
the students with their wonderful models, plant saplings, etc. They inspired and
motivated all the teachers and students to use the waste in a proper way. The
exhibition was quite fruitful and it was praised and appreciated by one and all.
12th September, 2019 : On 12th September, 2019 a poster making competition
on “Cleanliness” was organised for classes III & I V . The result of the same is as

On 13th September ,2019: Class IV- B presented a wonderful Assembly on the
topic “Child Labour”. Inspiring messages and motivational skit were the highlights of
the assembly . The students gave the message, through song, dance, speech, skit, quiz.
They poured out their feelings and emotions through various activities. A wonderful
short movie on was also shown to inspire all the audience to put an end to child
labour. The assembly was encouraging, inspiring, educative and informative. It was
appreciated by one and all.
On 14th September , 2019: I/H Folk Dance Competition was held for classes
III-V. The students mesmerized each and every one sitting in the auditorium with
their fabulous performances. The competition was judges by Mr. Salim Khan,
Bollywood Choreographer and Mrs. Shobha Verma, Professor from Waidhan Degree

23rd September , 2019: On 23rd
September, 2019 a week long celebration on the
occasion of 150th
Jayanti of our Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi began with a
wonderful and fabulous assembly by class IV-A in which all the students of classes
III-V took part actively. The assembly had all the relevant essence to commemorate
our beloved Bapu, Mahatma Gandhiji. The assembly was conducted beautifully by
the students with Gandhi prayers, hymns, skit on his life, videos showing his entire
life sketch. It was really mesmerizing and made people aware with teachings of
Gandhiji. The assembly was heart touching and each and every one present in the
auditorium felt the need of Gandhiji and his teachings in present scenario.
24th September , 2019: In continuation to a week long programme in honour of
150th
Birthday of Gandhiji, a wonderful classwise competitions for classes III-V were
conducted on 25th
September, 2019. The students exhibited their talents. It was indeed
a fabulous show showcasing the acting, dancing skills of the children. The judges
and the audience were mesmerized with the wonderful skills of the children. The

REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2019 CLASS VI TO VIII
1st sEPt. ’19 to 15th sEPt ’19- SWACHHATA PAKHWADA: According to the circular, DPS(V) organized ‘SWACHHATA PAKHWADA’ for a
fortnight,mainly involving lower classes as the other classes had exams.Students
enthusiastically participated in every activity like classroom cleaning,oath-taking,art
competition,essay writing competition,school exhibition and green exhibition etc.Students,
teachers ,parents and the school janitors and janitress all worked as a team and made it a
successful event.
5th sEPt’19-tEAChERs’ DAY CELEBRAtIoN:
The Principal, H Master/ H Mistress and the students made the Teachers’Day celebration as
an auspicious day and the Teachers were overwhelmed by the entire programme presented by
the students for them.The respect, attention and the love showered by the students that day
really touched the hearts of the staff
1st sEPt.’19 to 14th sEPt’19- HINDI PAKHWADA(NTPC):
NTPC conducted ‘HINDI PAKHWADA’ to celebrate ‘HINDI DIWAS’ for two weeks
.Enthusiasts of DPS(V) participated in the various competitions held and brought laurels to
our school.
9th sEPt’19- HALF-YEARLY EXAM:
As per the schedule ,the school held half-yearly exam from 9th Sept.19 to 20th Sept’19 for
the students .Dipsites as usual have done their best except a few who are yet to put in more
effort in their studies to reach to better marks.PTM was held on 30th ,and parents turned up in
very good number and left in smiles satisfied by the performance of their wards.Some were
obviously there who disappointed us and parents ,have promised to better their result in
future.
19th sEPt’19 AND 20th sEPt’19- SWACHHATA HI SEVA CAMPAIGN:
As a part of this campaign, the school organized ‘STOP SINGLE USE PLASTIC’ move to
sentisize students , parents, shopkeepers, in and around the school. Students displayed plastic
cups,plates,tumblers and taught the onlookers as to how they can be well disposed.Display
through flexi also was made to bring about awareness in the society.
An awareness campaign was organized by the school to sensitize about sanitation as
everyone’s business.In this regard this year importance was given to ‘STOP SINGLE USE
PLASTIC’ The school took up certain activities:-
1)Door to door campaign was organized to stop the use of plastic.People in and around the
school were sensitized about the dangers caused by plastic and were asked to stop ‘SINGLE
USE PLASTIC.’
2) Nukkad Natak was presented by students to apprise of cleanliness and ‘Say No To Plastic’

CELEBRATED
The school celebrated an intensive week long program on Mahatma Gandhi –His life and
works etc.The program comprised of KATHA KATHAN, SPEECH,
ELOCUTION,DEBATE, SLOGAN WRITING,DIARY ENTRY ,ESSAY
WRITNG,NUKKAD NATAK ,SPECIAL ASSEMBLIES AND CLEANLINESS
DRIVE.Students got an opportunity to not only peep into his life but also know many facts
that were unknown.It was full of knowledge to be gained by the history of India.
COMPETITIVE EXAMS CONDUCTED: IGKO,PCRA ,MIND WARS ETC. were conducted and students took part with
enthusiasm.Some were online and it naturally evoked more interest in them. They anticipate
their results.

5.9.2019- Teacher's Day: Teacher's day celebration as a mark to commemorate the
birthday of Dr Radha Krishnan was planned in all its unique style customary to the trend of
DPS Vindhyanagar. To bring the focus of students towards relationship of teacher and taught,
speech and skits were presented through the dais.
9.9.2019 - 20.9.2019 - Mid term exams.for classes 9-10 & Half yearly examination for
classes 11&12 were conducted adhering the the parameters of CBSE.
23.9.2019 - 01.10.2019 : 150 th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi: An intensive
week long program to motivate the Dipsites to explore more about the relevance of Gandhian
values, introspect more about their utility and express their thoughts through words.In its
inaugural ceremony Shri Uttam Kumar,G.M (H.R) NTG Vindhyachal was invited as the
Chief Guest . He inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp and bonanza of programs took
its vent. With reference to Gandhian values many competitions were held. Each day was
scheduled with feat of competitions, short movie show & cleanliness drive. Mime show &
Nukkad Naatak were the charm of the week. Creating clay art was the most interesting
project taken by art teacher Mr. Prashant during this celebration. On its Closing ceremony,
Shri Munish Jain, AGM (EMG) NTG Vindhyachal was invited as the Chief Guest of the day.
The whole program intact with its soul, could be possible only with Principal's enthusiastic
support and meticulous guidance.
1.10.19- Daan Utsav Daan Utsav epitomizing 'Joy of Giving' was inaugurated by Shri Munish Jain, AGM (EMG)
NTG Vindhyachal, Smt. Esha Jain& Smt. Sita Jain. The students with their speeches & qiuz
questions brought all the Dipsites into the spirit of joy of giving.
30.9.19- PTM
The academic performance of the students from class 9 to class 12 in Mid term examination
& Half Yearly examination was the issue of teacher's meeting with parents. Along with it
answer script verification was also done.
25.09.2019 Nukkad naatak - Rally of Cleanliness drive was organized by the school
inclusive of students Council. It performed a Nukkad Naatak emphasizing the theme of
Cleanliness in a nearby locality and grabbed the attention of locales. Manisha Tiwari PRT
hindi & Ajay Choubey PRT (English) guided the whole event.

Sports Achievements - The state level kick boxing championship was held in Indore
during 30.9.19 to 3.10.19 in which Soma Sarkar of 11D and Mansi Tiwari of class 9D got
gold medal and Andleeb of class 10 D is selected to play national level.
National level Kick boxing was held between 17.9.19 to 20.9.19 at Telangana in which
Soma Sarkar won Silver Medal and Mansi Tiwari got Gold Medal.
Mathematics Workshop:
A workshop on Sustainability of Mathematics was taken up by Mr Saurabh Dwivedi (TGT
Mathematics) It intended to train the teachers to enhance their the level of their expertise so
that they can provide new inflow of information to the youngsters.
Workshop at Jaipur: The workshop was attended by Mr S. K. Patnaik. In school he
took up the content of the same workshop and disseminated all the effective ways to make
good questions.How to prepare objective questions was the main focus of this workshop and
how to enhance the quality of objective questions on the basis of their value and content. It
was intended for the orientation of the teachers on subtilities of preparing objective questions
on 14 major subjects of class 11.
