PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF september – 2017
CLASSES LKG- II
1ST
September 2017:
Hindi Recitation competition was held.It was open to all. 220 children participated in the
competitionand recited wonderful moralsome poemswith perfect pronunciation and
modulation of voice.
All the poems were very good but some were really marvellous and need mention which
were “Suraj” recited by Nivriti of Lkg, Jay of Prep recited “Phir Kya Hoga Uske
Baad”,Tavishka of class I recited “Sangatee ka phal” and “Panna Dhai” recited by Akrisht
of class II were outstanding presentations.
4th
September 2017:
Mother Says(Lkg to I) Metro station (Class II) outdoor activity was conducted which the
children thoroughly enjoyed.This taught the children to be obedient and remain alert.
5th
September:
Teachers’ day was celebrated to commemorate the contribution of the 2nd
President of India
Dr S Radhakrishnanas an educationist.
On this day ,students reflected however fleetingly, what it means to be teacher and what
responsibilities a teacher bears. Teachers too were reminded of their school days when they
re-lived their childhood, by participating very sportinglyin the games conducted by the senior
students. The programme concluded with the speech of our Principal Sir Dr. Janardan Pandey
who praised the efforts made by the senior students and their co-ordinators to make the
celebration a grand success.

September 2017:
It was a preparatory leave for all classes.
7th
September 2017:
E-II commenced.
13th
September:
E-II concluded.
14th
September 2017:
Regular classes commenced.
22nd
September 2017:
Special assembly on the occasion of Navratri and Dussehra was presented by Class I
children.The children were beautifully dressed representing the nine Avatars of Goddess
Durga.
Children also enacted an incident of Ramayana.
23rd
September 2017:
P.T.M was held in which Parents of children visited our school for the verification of answer
scripts of their wards.
24th
September 2017:
School closed for Dussehra vacation.
SUBJECT WISE ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED IN CLASS
CLASS LKG
The students had fun with colours and made Thumb Impressions with water colours.
CLASS PREP
Children enjoyed learning concept of And, In , On by doing an outdooractivity.
CLASS I
Through dramatization children enjoyed learning about their neighbourhood.
CLASS II
Children learned action words(verbs)by playing a game “Action Charades”.
CLASSES III TO V
5th
September, 2017: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the
school. A wonderful and mesmerizing programme was put up by the students in
honour of Teachers.
13th
September, 2017: Evaluation –II of classes III-V came to an end. The children
were looking very happy after the exams. The regular classes resumed w.e.f. 14th
September, 2017.
14th
September, 2017: The school had a splendid Morning Assembly in order to
honour our mother tongue Hindi. The students presented skit, songs and expressed
their feelings towards the Hindi. Teachers also gave away speeches on the importance
of Hindi Language. In this context, various competitions were conducted: The result

14th
September, 2017:
In the evening there was a closing ceremony of Hindi Diwas Week conducted by
NTPC Vindhyachal in Maitri Sabhagar. Prizes were given away to the winners, the
maximum of which were bagged by the DPS Vindhyanagar in all the categories. The
school made a record by putting up a fabulous show (Navras) with the help of 62
students. It was praised and appreciated by one and all.
15th
September,2017: A special assembly was held on 15th
September, 2017 by. In
this assembly children put up a fabulous show giving message to civic society to keep
cleanliness around them, save energy, plant trees, etc. The assembly was thoroughly
enjoyed by all the students, teachers and parents present on that day.
22nd
September,2017: A special assembly was held on 22nd
September, 2017 to
celebrated Swachhata Week. In this assembly a clear message was given by the
students that cleanliness is not work, it is a thought which one should develop from
early childhood to make his surroundings, society and country clean. We can only
make our country clean by following the principles of Clean India and Green India.
The assembly had witnessed fantastic skit, vibrant songs and music put up by the
students which were appreciated by one and all present there.
23rd
September 2017 : PTM for E1 for classes III-V, Half Yearly for class VI-VIII
and Mid-Term for classes IX-XII was held on 23rd
September from 11.30 p.m to 1.30
p.m. The parents met with the teachers, discussed the problems of their ward/s.
Answer scripts were distributed to the parents by the class teachers.
CLASSES VI TO VIII
1st to 15th Sept’17-SWATCHHTA PAKHWADA:
As per the circular sent by CBSE,DPS(V) observed „Swatchhta Pakhwada‟from 1st to 15
th
Sept’17 and conducted various competitions for students. Students and staff are assigned for
cleanliness drive throughout the school premises and 5S time and class teachers period is
often utilized for cleanliness in and around. Tree Plantation was also a part of it.

th Sept‟17-Hindi Pakhwada:
NTPC(V) observed Hindi Pakhwada and organized a number of competitions for students to
sensitize them of the depth of the language and its use. Students enthusiastically took part and
brought laurels for the school. Essay writing was held for middle group and around 40
students took part in it.

Sept‟17-Teachers‟Day Celebration:
Teachers wholeheartedly thank Chairman, DPSS for his good wishes sent for one and all.
Teachers felt extremely special when students unfolded the delicately prepared interesting
programme for all. It was doubled by some thoughtful thoughts expressed by students and
crazy games for teachers. The entire school took an oath to keep the school clean, not to litter
nor allow others to do so.
Sept‟17-Energy Conservation-NHDC:
NHDC held painting competition for youngsters in which our students merrily took part and
sent entries. Topics were based on conservation of energy.

Sept ‟17-Half-Yearly Exams:
Exams held the attention of the students and teachers were busy with corrections till 21st

Sept’17 assigned for verification by parents.
22nd
Sept.17-Ravi House Special Assembly-
The month of exams but hats off to the House for an extremely well presented special
assembly on two topics-Durga Puja and Empower Women. The true meaning of this festival
was known through a skit and the PPT on Women Empowerment, both left a memorable
mark on the minds of the audience.
On 22nd September 2017, members of Nagar Palik Nigam, Singrauli, M.P., Mr. M. L. Singh
& Mr. S. K. Singh and a team from NTPC, Vindhyachal visited the school regarding
Swaccha Vidyalaya Campaign and surveyed the school, interviewed the students as to how
the school is working on cleanliness drive.
Plantation was also a part of it. The team was satisfied and found the work being done in full
swing and appreciated it.

CLASSES IX TO XII
5th September 2017:
The month of September signifying itself with the celebration of Dr. Radha Krishnan's
birthday instrumented 5th September with deepest veneration to him .The ceremony entailed
with multiple cultural facets of education glorified his enlightening ways and pointed out how
following him could lead the generations ahead to greater vista of knowledge and learning.
During special Assembly floral tribute was paid to him by the Principal Dr. Janardan Pandey
and all the teachers.

6th September 2017:
Debate on 6th September was organized by NTPC, Vindhyachal on the occasion of Swachhta
Pakhwada on the topics Kya Mrityudand Samapt Kar Diya Jana Chahiye/ Swachhta Not Our
Duty but that of Sanitation Staff, students from each house participated with great enthusiasm
and listening to them was a feast to everyone's logical thought line.
7th September:
LMC meeting successfully held on 07/09/2017 under the headship of Shri. Dinesh Kumar,
GGM NTPC (V) & PVC DPS Vindhyanagar. Various issues related to school & students
were discussed & few decisions for the benefit of the school were taken with the consent of
every member.
8 September:
A workshop was conducted by Teach Next Group regarding better handling of of Smart
Board. The Resource Person Kavita Namdev with her excellent knowledge simplified the
mechanism and served the purpose of the day.
9th September :
Examination of classes nine to twelfth started from 9th September and continued Upto 18th
September. On 23rd September 2017 PTM was held in which verification of the answer
scripts was done by the parents .The result is to be declared in the next month.
22nd September
Special Assembly was held by Ravi House The theme of the Assembly was „Empower Girl
Child‟ and „Durga Puja‟. The children were sensitized towards Gender Equality and
significance of Great Indian Festivals.
The month ended with vacation of Dussehra.
