A Festival of Harmony

People’s Republic of China’s Bid for the 2026 World Cup

A Festival of Harmony

People’s Republic of China’s Bid for the 2026 World Cup

Introduction

Since the creation of modern football in

19th century, football has become one of the

most famous sports in the world. The World Cup

is also one of the most watched events in the

world. Host countries have used the opportunity

to promote the country’s potential to the rest of

the world by hosting the World Cup.

Therefore, the People’s Republic of China

is bidding for the host country of the FIFA World

CupTM to show its true potential in hosting a

world class sporting event. We are using the

World Cup momentum to create a harmony

between our country and the world by hosting a

memorable and exciting tournament. Not only

with the international community, we also

wanted that the harmonious condition will

spread among the Chinese people themselves.

The concept of the bid is to create World

Cup tournament with lower budget than the

previous hosts but able to show a unique

tournament that can be remembered for

decades later. All of the stadiums we used are

already built and operational, needing only

minor works to make them ready for the World

Cup. We will also create a better security and

environment in order to give the best experience

in watching FIFA World CupTM live in the stadium.

Our work is not only for fans that come to

China, but we will also try our best with FIFA to

create a schedule that can be enjoyed by

everyone watching the World Cup in their

respective countries. We also hope that the

World Cup can make an impact in China’s

development. If China gets the chance, we

believe that we can create a festival of harmony

for all.
