ThisisasimplifiedversionofJohnMendoza's'OnTheElevator',FirstMethodandRoutine(TheBookofJohn,Mendoza,pp.49-51).

Mendoza'sadditiontoMarlo's'Penetration'or'Elevator'effectisthatattheendoftheroutinethethreeSpadecardschangetoHearts.

Stackthedeckasfollowsfromthetopdown:3H,3S,2S,AS,AH,restofdeck,2H.

1.DoubleLiftandTurnovertodisplaythe3S.Turnthedoublefacedownanddealthetopcardtothetable,toyourright.DoubleTurnoveragaintoshowthe2S,thenturnitfacedownanddealtotheleftoftheThree.AndagainDoubleTurnovertoshowtheAS.WiththeAcestillfaceup,usetheKMMovetodumpthecardbehindit,thendealtheAcetotheleftoftheothertwocards.(ThereasonfordealingtheAcefaceupissimple:afterashortperiodoftimethespectatorsmayforgetwhichendofthe.rowstartswiththeAceifitisfacedown.)

2.DoubleUndercutthetopcard,the2S,tothebottomofthedeck.

3.PositionthetopcardforTiltandatthesametimereachfortheface-upAce.Turnitfacedownandplaceit2ndfromthetop,apparentlyintothecentreofthedeck.CollapsetheTiltbreakthenDoubleLifttoshowthattheAcehasrisentothe.top.Turnthedoublefacedownanddealthetopcardbackintoitsspaceonthetable,i.e.,totheleftoftheothertwocards.

4.Pickupthemiddlecard,the2S(?),andplaceitontothedeck.Riffledownthesideofthedeckthenturnitfaceuptoshowthe2Sonthebottom.ExecuteElliott'sCardChange(ControlledMiracles,Simon,pp.22-23)toendupwiththesupposed2Sfacedownintherighthand,andthedeckfaceupinthepalm-downlefthand.PlacetheTwoontothetablebetweentheothertwocards.AsMendozasuggests,theGlidecouldbeusedinsteadoftheElliottChange.

5.Re-gripthedecksoitisfacedowninthelefthand.Takethedeckfromabovewiththerighthandandtakeathumbbreakabovethebottomcard.Placethedeckontothe3S(?)andpickitup,maintainingthebreak.Immediatelycutthebottomtwocardstothetopasone,andtakethedeckwiththelefthand.

6.MarloPullDownthe.bottomcardandplacethetopcard2ndfromthebottom,apparentlyunderthedeck.

7.RiffleupwardsthenDoubleLifttoshowthe3Sontop.TurnpalmdowntoshowanXcardonthebottom,thenturnpalmupandflipthedoublefacedown.Dealthetopcardtotherightoftheothertwo.

8.Theeffectisapparentlyover;pauseafewsecondsthenturnthecardsfaceuptoshowthattheyarenowred.

Theswitchinstep5isbasedonJKHartman'sBototoSwitch(PacketMagic,Hartman,p.8).AlternativelyMarlo'sBottopChange(TheCardician,Marlo,pp.35-36)couldbeused,i.e.,pickupthe3S(?),dotheChange,thengointostep6.

ONEBYONE,ASCANIOSTYLE

ThisisaversionofIanLand's'OneByOne'routine.(SeehisvariousideasinFiveKnuckleShuffles1and2.AshesaysthebasicDiminishingTwistideacomesfromBobWalker).AlloftheLandroutinesusedvariouscounts,soIsetaboutfindingamethodwherethecardscouldbespread:

1.RunthroughthedeckandouttheACtothetop.HoldingthedeckinStandardPeekPosition,haveacardpeekedatandholdabreakbelowit.Executethefollowingfour-partRunningCutsequence:cutoffapproximatelyhalfthecardsabovethebreakanddropthemontothetable.Cutoffallthecardsuptothebreakandplacethemontothetabledportion.Cutoffanotherpacketandplacethemontothetabledcards,thenplacetheremainingportionontop.(ThisisaMarloKey-CardPlacement).

2.Turnthedeckfaceupandspreadthroughit.CuttheACtotheface,thenplacethe4C,2C,and3Contoitinthatorderfromtheface.Liftoffthetopfivecardsasfour,thentablethedeckfacedown.Cutthedeckintothreeequalportionsandleavethemsidebyside.

3.SpreadthepacketasfourClubs,keepingthelasttwosquaredasone.Squareupandturnfacedown.DoubleLifttoshowtheAC,thenexecuteJerryHartman'sUnderturn(Epilogue7,pp.1-2;MeansandEnds,Hartman,pp.10-11)toendupwiththeAcesecretlyfaceup2ndfromthetop.

4.BackSpreadthepacketasfour,andatthesametimeside-jogtheface-upAce.AsyouclosethespreadallowtheAcetoslipundertherightlongedgeofthe2ndface-downcard.AftersquaringtheAcewillbe3rdfromthetop.

5.AscanioSpreadtoshowallfacedown.Squareupandtransferonecardfromtoptobottom.AscanioSpreadagaintoshowthattheAChasturnedfaceup.Takethedoublecardwiththerighthandanduseittoflipthesquaredleft-handpacketfaceup.ImmediatelyplacetheAceontothefaceofthepackettokeeptheselectionfromcomingintoview.TaketheAceoffthepacketwiththerighthand,Wrist-Turningthepackettokillthereversedcard,andplaceitontotheleftmosttabledpacket.

6.Turntheleft-handcardsfacedownandtransferonecardfromtoptobottom.ExecuteaPartialAscanioSpread,butdon'tremovethedoublecardfromthepacket;leaveitinplace.(SeeTheAscanioSpread,Racherbaumer,p.31;KabbalaVol.2,No.3,pp.17-18).Squareup,transferonecardfromtoptobottom,thenPartialAscanioSpreadagaintoshowthe2Cfaceup(thistimethedoublecardisremovedandplacedontothepacket).Onceagaintakethedoublecard,squaretheothers,thenflipthemfaceupandaddtheTwotothefaceofthepacket.WiththerighthandremovetheTwo,Wrist-Turningthepacket,andplaceitontothe2ndtabledportionfaceup.

7.Turnthetwo(?)left-handcardsfacedownandtransferthetopcardtothebottomkeepingitside-joggedtotheleft.Thisshowstwoface-downcards.Squareup.

8.KeepingthetopandbottomcardssquaredinDeepMechanic'sGrip,pullouttheface-up3Cwiththerighthandandplaceitontotheothercard(s).Bucklethebottomcardandwiththerighthand,takethetoptwocardsasoneandplacethemontothe3rdtabledpacket.

9.Endbyturningthesupposed4Cfaceuptoshowtheselection.

TheLongitudinalAnglePalmwasfirstdescribedbyEdMarloinTheTabledPalm,pp.10-11.Foranotherdescriptionofthesleightaswellasthehistoryofthemove,seeKabbalaVol.3,No.2,pp.17-20.

1.Haveacardpeekedatandholdabreakaboveit.

2.Withtherighthandmovethedeckforwardsothatthelowerleftcornerisalmostinthecrotchoftheleftthumb.Asthishappenstheleft3rdfingertakesoverthebreakfromthepinkie.

3.Liftallthecardsabovetheselectionslightly,andmovethemforwardabouthalfaninchorso.Pressdownwiththerightthumbonthebackoftheselectionatthecentreofthenearshortedge,thenmovetherighthandback,squaringthetophalfwiththelowerportion.Theselectionwillpivotoutofthesideofthedeck,theleftthumbbaseactingasthepivot-point.(Step3willappeartobesimplyasquaringaction.)

4.GripthecardinLongitudinalAnglePalmpositionandremovetherighthandwiththeselection.

Steps2and3arealmostidenticaltothefirstfewstepsofMarlo'sLeftHandSideSteal(TheSideSteal,Marlo,pp.16-18).

EZ2THIRDVERSION

ThisismythirdmethodofmyE.Z.2.(Spell-Binder18,pp.339-340).OtherversionsbyIanLand,ReinhardMüller,andmyselfappearinvariousotherissuesofSpell-Binder.

1.SpreadthroughthedeckandremovethefourKings,atthesametimeCullingthefourSevenstothetopofthedeck.CutthedeckkeepingabreakabovetheSevens,andRiffleForceoneoftheSevens,cuttingthedeckatthe'stopped-at'placeanddealingthetopcardtothetable.TheotherthreeSevensshouldbeontop.

2.Havethreeothercardschosen,thenswitchthemforthetopthreecardsofthedeck,e.g.,useJerryHartman'sMultipleCountChange(PacketMagic,Hartman,pp.4-5).HavethebacksoftheSevenssigned.

3.Interlacetheface-downSevenswiththeface-upKingssotheorderis:face-upKing,face-downSeven,face-upKing,etc.Holdingthepacketintheright-handKBGrip,peelthe1stKingoffthepacketintothelefthand.Asthenextcard,aface-downSeven,iscountedontoit,executetheKardyro-BiddleMovetostealbacktheKingundertheright-handpacket.Continuecountingthecardsintothelefthand;eachtimeaKingiscountedoff,itisstolenbackwhenaSevenispeeledontoit.

Theseventhcard,aKing,willbefourcardsheldasone,andisplacedontothepacketasthelastcard.Thepositionis:fourface-upKings,threeface-downSevens.

4.Withthepacketinthelefthand,pickupthecardcasewiththeflapuppermost,andslidethepacketintoit.However,thebottomthree,theSevens,secretlygooutsidethecase.PushtheKingsrightin(makingsurethattheSevenscan'tbeseenthroughthehalf-mooncutout)andclosetheflap.Makesurethatthedeckistabledonyourright.

5.Askthespectatortoholdouthislefthandpalmup,doingsowithyourlefthandtoshowhimexactlywhatyoumean.Underthismisdirection,moveyourrighthand,whichisholdingthecase,overthetabled

deck,andreleasethethreecards.Smoothly(notguiltily!)movetherighthandawayfromthedeckandplacethecaseontothespectator'spalm.Tellhimtoplacehisrighthandontothecase.

6.Pickupthedeck,takeabreakbelowthetopthreecards,andexecutetheBraueReversal.Cuttheface-updeckagaintocentralisetheSevens.

7.Theworkisdone;rifflethecardstowardsthecase,thentablethedeck.HavethecaseopenedandthecardsremovedtoshowjustthefourKings.Spreadthedecktoshowthethreesignedcards.Havethe1stselectionturnedfaceuptoshowaSeven,thenturnthesignedcardsface-upforthefinalsurprise.

[Theabovedescriptioncontainsanerrorwhichmakestheeffectunworkable.Ifyoutryitoutasis,youwillfindthatthesignaturesonthebacksoftheSevensarevisibleaftertheSevensareunloadedatopthedeck.Inlookingthroughmynotesfrom9July1984,Ifoundthattheydidnotcontaintheaboveerror,butinwritinguptheeffectIaddedadifferentprocedurewhichcreatestheproblemmentioned.Theoriginalmethodfrommynotesisasfollows:AfterStep4above,placethecaseontothetabled,face-updeck,thenliftoffthecaseplushalfthedeckandtablethem,followedbycompletingthecut,i.e.,placingtheremaininghalfdeckontopofthecardcase,sandwichingthelatterinthemiddleofthedeck.Sayyourmagicwords,thenflickthecardcasesharplywithyoursecondfinger,causingthecasetospinoutofthedeckontothetable.(IanLandshowedthismovetomeattheMagicLoungec.1982.)NowendfromStep7whereitsays,'Havethecaseopened....']

THECARNIVOR-ACEACES

Asyoumighthaveguessedfromthetitle,thisisaversionoftheclassicLinSearlesplot,'TheCannibalCards'.Ifyouaregoingtousethe'CannibalCards'pattertheme,addingallthegoodieslikeflexingthecardstorepresentthebonescracking,thenusetheJacksorKings.Ifnot,usetheAces.

My1stmethod,'What'sEatingYou',whichinspiredthisone,shouldbeappearinginaforthcomingApocalypse.

OrderofAcesfromtheface:B,B,R,R.

1.HavethefourAcesfaceuponthetable.Riffledownthesideofthedeckuntilstopped,thencutthedeckatthatpoint.DoubleLifttoshow,e.g.,the6H.Turnthedoublefacedown,andplacebothcardsasoneintotheface-upAcepacket,3rdfromthetoporbottom.Squareup.

2.ExecuteanAscanioSpreadtoshowthatthe6Hhasvanished.Tofurtherprove(?)thisdothefollowing:squarethepacketthendoJackAvis'sSivaCount[lastcardtothebottom](Epilogue11,p.2).Afterthistheselectionwillbe4th(and5th)fromthetop.ExecuteaSingleBuckleSpreadthensquareup.Takethepacketfromabovewiththerighthand,andobtainabreakabovethebottomthreecardswiththerightthumb.

3.Pickupthedeckandpushthetopcardhalfwayovertheside,thenflipitfaceupwiththeedgeoftheright-handpacket.Thiscard(e.g.,9C)isflippedfacedown,butexecutetheDropSwitch,releasingthethreeright-handcardsontothedeck.Immediatelythumboverthetopcardontothetable.TablethedeckafterdoingaCharlierCut.

4.TaketheAcesintothelefthandandplacethe9C(?)intothepacket3rdfromthetop.ElmsleyCounttoshowthatthe2ndcardhasvanished.

5.PlacetheAcesontothedeckthendealoffthetopthreecards;oneoftheAceshasvanished.SpreadthedecktoshowthemissingAce.Removeitplusthecardoneithersideofit,thenturnthemfaceuptoshowthetwoselections.

Step5wasinspiredbyPhilGoldstein's'AFineMesh',steps10and11(Quasimodo/AFineMesh,Goldstein,pp.2-3).

REVOLVINGACESLEAD-IN

ThefollowingideaallowsyoutocleanlyplacethefourAcesintodifferentpartsofthedeckbeforegoingintoHerbZarrow's'RevolvingAces'(Close-UpCardMagic,Lorayne,pp.98-100).

1.Thedeckisfacedowninthelefthand,thecard2ndfromthetopisfaceup.ThefourAcesareonthetablefaceup.

2.Cutoffaboutaquarterofthedeckandtableittoyourleft.Cutoffanotherquarterandplaceittotherightofthe1stpacket.Cuttheremainingcardsinhalfandtablethetwoportionstotherightoftheothertwo.(Ifyoulikelivingdangerouslythenallowthespectatortodothecutting.WhatIdoistocutthe1stportion'toshowthespectatorwhattodo',thenallowhertodotherestofthecutting).

3.Pickupthepileontheleft(i.e.,theonewithaface-upcard2ndfromthetop)withthelefthand.PlaceoneoftheAcesfacedownontothepacket.Asyoureachforthe2ndpackettakeabreakundertheface-upcard,thenplacetheright-handportionfaceupontothelefthandcards.Immediatelyturnallthecardsabovethebreakfacedownontotheremainingcards.

4.Pickupthe2ndAceatthesametimetakingabreakunderthetopthreecards.PlacetheAcefacedownontothepacketasbefore,thenpickupthe3rdpileandplaceitfaceupontotheleft-handcards.Onceagainflipallthecardsabovethebreakfacedown.

5.Takeabreakbelowthetopfourcardsandrepeatthewholeprocesswiththe3rdAceandthe4thpacket.Afterthistheordershouldbe:A,X,X,A,A(underlinedcardsfaceup).

6.PlacethelastAcefacedownontothedeckandexecuteanyFalseCutfollowedbyaFalseShuffle.

ThecardsarenowsetfortheZarrowroutine.

ThefollowingAceAssemblyusestheBoldFUFUSwitch,i.e.,thesameideaasMarlo'sBoldATFUS(KabbalaVol.3,No.5,p.64)butuseshisFUFUSwitchinstead.

1.Thedeckisfaceupinthelefthand.Crimpthefacecardthenspreadofftwelvecardsintotherighthand(ifanAceisamongthesecardsup-jogitandcontinuethecountwiththenextcard).Placethesecardsundertherestofthedeck,thencontinuespreadingontothem.Up-jogtheAcesasyoucometothem.SquareupthedeckandstripouttheAceswiththerighthandandplacethemontothedeck.Spreadoffthetopsevencardsthensquarethemagainstthedeckandtakethemintotherighthandasfourcards.Wrist-Turnthedecktokilltheindifferentfacecard.

2.Flipthedeckfacedownandtakeapinkiebreakunderthetoptwelvecards(i.e.,underthecrimpedcard).SquaretheAcepacketagainsttheleftthumb,stealingthetwelvecards,thenexecuteMarlo'sFUFUSwitch:countoffthetopthreeAcesontothedeckandholdthelastAce(withtheextracardsbevelledtotheright)withtherighthand.ObviouslyMarlo'sEdgeCovertechniqueisusedtohidetheseextracards.Squareallthecards,thenwiththerighthandliftoffthetopfourface-upcardsandflipthemfacedown.DealtheAces(?)intotheusualTformation,thelastcardactingastheLeaderAceatthestem.

3.Spreadoffthetopthreecardsofthedeckandturnthemfaceuptowardsyou,endforend.Thetopcardofthereversespreadshouldbealignedwiththetopface-downcardofthedeck(thisisforconsistencylateron).Flipthethreecardsfacedownanddealontothe1stAce(?)atthetopleftofthelayout.

4.Turnthenextthreecardsfaceupasbefore,thenturnthemfacedownanddealthemontothemiddleAce.Repeatthiswiththenextthreecardsanddealthemontothe3rdAce.

5.Whenthenextthreecardsarespreadoff,necktiethedecktokeeptheface-upAcesfromcomingintoview.Asbefore,turnthethreecardsfaceupendforend.Thetopcardwillbealignedwiththedeck.Lowerthedecktodisplaythesecards.AllsixcardsareturnedfacedownandthetopthreearedealtoffontothelastAce.

PADDLINGINTHEOILANDWATER

ThisversionofMarlo's'OilandWater'effectgetsrightawayfromtheusualtwenty-sevenphaseroutines;thereisonlyone'separation'andthemethodisquitenovel.

1.SpreadthroughthedeckandremovetheredandblackEightsandNines.Discardthedeck.

2.Placetheredcardsontotheblacksandspreadthepacket.Squarethecardsthenspreadoffthetopthreecards.Youapparentlyturntheredsfacedown,butinrealitythetopsevencardsareturnedover.

3.Withthepacketinthelefthand,thumboffthetopredcardontothetable(thiscardisreallyblackduetotheseven-cardturnover).Transferthecardstoyourrighthand,apparentlyflippingthemoverintheprocess;however,theCarlylePaddleMoveisusedtogivetheillusionofthepacketturningover.Thumboffthetopcardontothetabledcard.

4.Transferthecardsbackintothelefthand,againexecutingthePaddleMove,anddealthetopcardtothetable.Continuetransferringanddealinguntiltherearetwocardsleft.

5.Takeoffthetopcard,flashitsredface,tableit,thenshowthelastblackcardandplaceitontothepile.Yourpatterthroughoutshouldsimplybe,'Red,black,red,black...',etc.

6.Explainthatcuttingthepacketdoesn'tchangetherelativepositionsofthecards,andasyousaythiscutthetopcardtothebottom.

7.Patteraboutoilandwaternotmixing,thenturnthepacketfaceuptoshowtheseparation.

KARDKONTROLS3AND4

InKardyro'sKardKonjuring(SenorTorino,pp.4-7)thereareacoupleofcontrolsdescribed,namely'T.K.'sKardKontrolNo.1'and'T.K.'sKardKontrolSupreme'.Belowaretwomoremethods.

METHODTHREE

1.Haveacardselectedfromthedeckwhichisspreadbetweenthehands.Cutthedeckatthepointofremoval,withoutcompletingthecut,andsquareeachhalf.Griptheright-handhalffromabove;theleft-handcardsareintheMechanic'sGrip.

2.Havetheselectionreturnedontothelowerhalf,thenraisethehandssothatthebottomcardofeachhalfisvisible.

3.Positiontheleftthumbatthetopleftofitspacket,thenpresshardtotheleft.Becauseoftheforefingerattheendofthecards,theselectionwillbuckle;therewillbealargegapattheright-handside,theouterendandleftsidewillstillbeincontactwiththedeckduetothepressureofthethumbandforefinger.(ThisactionisidenticaltoHarveyRosenthal'smethodofobtainingabreakunderthetopcard).

4.Placetheleftsideoftheright-handpacketunderthebuckledcardattheinnerrightcorner.Smoothlysquarethepacketsallowingtheselectiontorideontotheupperhalf.Theselectionisnowontop.

METHODFOUR

1.Executesteps1and2ofMethodThreeabove,theonlydifferencebeingtheleft-handgrip:insteadofholdingthepacketinMechanic'sGrip,itisheldbythe1st,2nd,and3rdfingersattherightside,andthepinkieattheinnerend.

2.Placetheleftthumbontothecentreofthetopcardattheouterend,thenpulldownonittowardsthepinkie.Duetothepressureatthebaseofthethumb,onlytherightsideoftheselectionwillbuckle.

3.Placetheinnerleftcorneroftheright-handpacketunderthebuckledcard,thensquarethepacketsasbefore.

1.Spreadthroughthedeck,facestowardsyou,andCullthreeFourstothefaceofthedeck.GetanySeventoaposition4thfromthetop.

2.Turnthedeckfacedown.Spreadthecardsintotherighthand;whenthe11thcardisreached,in-jogit,thencontinuespreadingthecardsforaselection.Onceacardhasbeenremovedsquareup,takingabreakbelowthein-joggedcard.

3.Havetheselectionreturned12thfromthetop.(UsetheBluffPassorTilt,soitappearstogonearerthecentre).FalseShuffleandcut,retainingthetopandbottomstocks.

4.Withthedeckintheright-handKBGrip,liftuponathirdofthedeck(makingsurethatmorethan12cardsarelifted)andSwingCutthemintothelefthand,usingHarryLorayne'sHaLoBottomSlipCuttosecretlygetaFourfromunderthedeckontothebottomofthispacket.Tablethesecards.

5.LiftuponanotherthirdandexecutetheHaLoCut,thentabletheleft-handcardsasbefore,totherightofthe1stpile.Placethelastportionontheextremeright.

THECRANDALLASSEMBLY

ThisversionofDaiVernon's'Slow-MotionFourAces'(StarsOfMagic,boundedition,pp.90-95)wasinspiredbymy'ElmsleyCountAssembly'(Abracadabra2023,pp.472-473),whichusedtheElmsleyCountasaswitchingtechnique.(ThisisaBro.JohnHammanidea,andoriginallyappearedin'TheElmsleyAssembly',KabbalaVol.1,No.8,p.61.)ThefollowingAssemblyalsousestheHammanidea.

1.Thedeckisfacedowninthelefthand;theAcesarefaceupandslightlyspreadintheright-handKBGrip.

2.Takeabreakbelowthetopcardofthedeck,thensquaretheAcesagainstthebaseoftheleftthumb,secretlyaddingthetopcardbeneaththem.ExecutetheBraueAdd-OnMovetofliptheAcesfacedownontothedeck,atthesametimepositioninganXcard2ndfromthetop.

3.DealthetopcardtotheLeaderPosition,the2nd(X)cardgoestothetopright,thendealthenexttwoAcestotheleftofthiscard,tocompletetheusual?T?Formation.

4.Executeatwo-cardBlockPush-Offandtakethedoublewiththerighthandfromabove.Pushoffthenexttwocardsunderit,spreadtotheleft,thenturntherighthandpalmuptoshowthreeXcards.Turn

palmdown,squareagainstthebaseoftheleftthumb,thenplaceontotheLeaderAce.

5.PlacethreecardsontotheleftandmiddleAces,showingthemasinthestepabove.Whenthreecardsaretakentobeplacedontotheright-handAce(?),theyaresquaredagainsttheleftthumbbaseandthelowermostcardisstolenbackontothedeck.ThesetwocardsareplacedontothelastAce(?).

6.PickupthepacketatthetopleftandElmsleyCountit,thelastcard,apparentlytheAce,beingplacedontothetableinsteadofontothepacket.(ThisistheHammanideamentionedearlier.)Takethepacketwiththerighthandfromabove,flashthebottomcard,thenplacethecardsontothetabledAce(?).

7.PickuptheLeaderPacket,turnitfaceup,andspreadittoshowthreeXcardsandanAce.Squarethesecardsandholdthemabovethepacketatthetopleft.TaporflexthecardsthenSingleBuckleSpreadtoshowtwoAces.TransferthebackAcetothefaceofthepacket,thenturnthecardsfacedownandtablethem.

8.WiththerighthandtakethetopcardoftheLeaderPacketanduseittoscoopupandturnoverthecardsatthetopleftofthelayout.However,theCrandallHigh-PressureMexicanTurnoverisused,therightthumbgrippingthetopcardoftheturningpacket,andatthesametimetheoriginalrighthandcardisleftonthebottomofthepile.Therewillbefourface-upXcardsonthetableandanAcefacedownintherighthand.PlacethiscardontotheLeaderPacket.

9.Executestep6usingthemiddlepacket.

10.Executestep7.ThistimetwoAcesandtwoXcardswillshowbeforethe3rdAcearrives.Onceithasappeared,placeitontothefaceofthepacket,sotheorderisAce,Ace,Ace,Xcard,Xcard,fromfacetoback.

11.TurntheLeaderPacketfacedownandtableit.Nowexecutestep8,thistimeflippingoverthemiddlepacket.

12.Pickupthepacketatthetoprightandexecutea3-as-4ElmsleyCount[sic-StanyonCount].Asbefore,thelastcardofthecount,apparentlytheAce,isplacedontothetable.Flashthebottomcardoftheright-handpacket,thenplacethesecardsontothelastAce(?).

13.TaketheLeaderPacketandturnitfaceup.SpreadthetopthreecardstoshowthreeAcesandoneXcard.Turnthepacketfacedownandholditoverthecardsatthetopright.FlexthepacketthenturnthetopcardfaceuptoshowthelastAce.Immediatelyexecuteatwo-cardBlockPush-Offandtakethedoublewiththerighthand.

14.Passtherighthandoverthelastface-downpile,secretlydumpingthelowercardofthedoubleonthetabledpile.ImmediatelyusetheAceintherighthandtoflipoverthetabledcards,showingfourXcards.TurntheotherthreeAcesfaceuptocompletetheroutine.

IthinkI'lldescribethatmoveinstep14inalittlemoredetail:threecardsarefacedownonthetable,adoublecardisinyourrighthand,heldbetweenthethumband1stand2ndfingertipsattherightlongside.Therighthandpassesfromlefttorightoverthetabledcards.Thedoubleintherighthandslightlyspreadsthetabledcardsatthesametimeaddingthelowercardofthedoubletothetabledcards.Thisisdonebypushingwiththeright1stand2ndfingers.Fourcardswillbevisibleonthetable.Immediatelytheright-handAcegoesovertotherightsideofthecardsandflipsthemface-up.
