Alice In Wonderland
with Cristin Stevenson
Oh, hello! Thanks so much for joining me for a lesson on Alice in
Wonderland. I am over the moon to be a part of Ever After this
year and cannot wait to see the art that you create from this
lesson!
Without further ado, let’s begin shall we?
1.) We will begin the lesson with a simple pencil and eraser
and sketch out a rough draft of our Alice!
2.) We will grid out the face and start making the features like
the eyes, nose and mouth.
… and add in some hair!
Next, we can start working on our collage:
And adding extra texture with stencils and modeling paste!
Before the modeling paste has a chance to dry you can use your
hands or a brush to manipulate it on the page.
Be sure to let the modeling paste totally dry before proceeding!
And now for the extra fun part --- adding color!
I’m using a really wet paintbrush and fluid acrylics from DecoArt
Media and Golden.
To finish, we can add small details and white highlights with a
Uniball Signo UM-153 pen!
And now for some finished photos -
