with Cristin Stevenson

Oh, hello! Thanks so much for joining me for a lesson on Alice in

Wonderland. I am over the moon to be a part of Ever After this

year and cannot wait to see the art that you create from this

lesson!

Without further ado, let’s begin shall we?

1.) We will begin the lesson with a simple pencil and eraser

and sketch out a rough draft of our Alice!

2.) We will grid out the face and start making the features like

the eyes, nose and mouth.

… and add in some hair!

Next, we can start working on our collage:

And adding extra texture with stencils and modeling paste!

Before the modeling paste has a chance to dry you can use your

hands or a brush to manipulate it on the page.

Be sure to let the modeling paste totally dry before proceeding!

And now for the extra fun part --- adding color!

I’m using a really wet paintbrush and fluid acrylics from DecoArt

Media and Golden.

To finish, we can add small details and white highlights with a

Uniball Signo UM-153 pen!

And now for some finished photos -

As well as showing artwork locally she also teaches art techniques and art

journaling online in collaborative and solo art courses with artists from all around

the world, maintains active Patreon content and is an active designer for brands

such as DecoArt, StrumpetStencils, Donna Downey (Curator), and Artistcellar.

Most recently, her “Secret Project” found its home at Glore Psychiatric

Museum in Saint Joseph, Missouri. The exhibit consisted of paintings and sculptures

created from re-purposed and found materials based upon hundreds of anonymous

secrets that she had received from all over the world.

PanArt considers herself to be a heArtist because she paints from the heart and

infuses emotion into all of her artwork. She loves to use rich color, texture,

storytelling and experimentation in all of her work.
