Vice President's Scholarship - $40,000
$10,000 per year. Awarded to entering first-time freshmen students with a minimum ACT composite score of 28 or a
minimum SAT score of 1260 (critical reading + math). Renewable for up to eight consecutive fall and spring semesters
based on a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above. Recipients must live on campus unless married or single
with dependents.
Freshman Honor Scholarship - $20,000
$5,000 per year. Awarded to entering first-time freshmen students with a minimum ACT composite score of 24 or a
minimum SAT score of 1090 (critical reading + math) or students ranking in the top 10% of their graduating class.
Renewable for up to eight consecutive semesters based on a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or above.

Receiving a President's Endowed Scholarship Scholarships are merit-based and are awarded without regard to financial need. Students competing for the scholarships must take the writing component of the SAT and/or ACT and achieve:
• a combined SAT math and SAT critical reading score of at least 1300 with a test score of at least 600 in each of these components
• OR a composite ACT score of at least 30 with a test score of at least 27 in ACT math and ACT English

Academic Excellence Scholarship
Amount: $500 to $8,500 per year
Qualifications: For students who have a competitive academic profile – typically a score of 1200 on the critical
reading and math sections of the SAT (25 ACT composite) with a class rank in the top 20 percent. To remain
eligible, students must maintain a full-time enrollment status (12 credit hours per semester), complete 30
credit hours annually (credit hours must be completed at the University of Houston - main campus), and a
minimum 3.0 GPA per semester.

Eligibility
The New Arkansan NRTA is awarded to entering freshmen and transfer students from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Entering freshmen must have a 3.25 or higher cumulative high school GPA and ACT of at least 24 or 1090 SAT (combined math and critical reading). Transfer students must have at least a 3.0 or higher cumulative college GPA and at least 24 transferable hours. Transfer students with less than 24 hours, must meet both the entering freshmen and transfer student requirements.
The NRTA is only available to incoming new students. A student who does not meet the eligibility criteria at the time of enrollment cannot become eligible for the award in a future term.
Award Amount
Entering freshmen with a 3.60 or higher cumulative GPA and a 26 or higher ACT (1170 SAT combined math and critical reading) will receive an New Arkansan NRTA that pays 90% of the difference between the in-state and out-of-state tuition. Entering freshmen with a 3.25-3.59 cumulative GPA and a 24 or higher ACT (1090 SAT combined math and critical reading) will receive an New Arkansan NRTA that pays 80% of the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition.
Transfer students with a 3.30 or higher cumulative transfer GPA will receive an New Arkansan NRTA that pays 90% of the difference between the in-state and out-of-state tuition. Transfer students with a 3.00-3.29 cumulative transfer GPA will receive an New Arkansan NRTA that pays 80% of the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition.

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE UNIVERSITY FELLOWS EXPERIENCE
A student with an ACT score of 32 or an SAT score of 1400 (critical reading and math scores only) and a high school
GPA of 3.8 who is accepted into UA will be eligible to complete the University Fellows Experience application.
Applicants must first complete the Honors College application, and then must complete the UFE application.
A student eligible for the Honors College (ACT of 28 or SAT of 1250 and high school GPA of 3.5) may be nominated for
consideration by a high school representative or a UA faculty member. The online nomination form (including the
student's full contact information and letter of recommendation) must be completed by a high school representative
or UA faculty member. The deadline for nominations is December 1.
In the UFE selection process, the candidate's academic, extracurricular, service, and leadership achievements will
weigh more heavily than grades and test scores.

Assured Scholarships
These Assured Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a student’s academic credentials (i.e., test scores and high school rank or IB diploma). Merit Scholarship for Incoming Freshman
At UTSA, we are committed to the success of our students. To recognize student’s academic achievements in high
school, UTSA offers the Distinguished Presidential Scholarship. Qualified incoming freshman {based on class ranking
and/or test scores (SAT (CR/M) / ACT (Composite) Score) } can receive up to $24,000 for 4 years just by applying to
UTSA.
How to Apply There is no application process. Automatic consideration will be given to Fall 2014 applicants admitted to UTSA by February 14, 2014, and who meet the requirements stated below based on fund availability.

The Regents’ Student Merit Scholarship
The Regents’ Student Merit Scholarship is the University’s most prestigious award. The Regents’ scholarship is up to $10,000 per academic year for tuition and mandatory fees. The Regent Scholar will receive an additional scholarship to meet the cost for up to 18 credit hours, on campus housing, meals and books ($600 per semester). Regents’ Scholars who are non-residents are eligible for University Out-of-State Waivers. The criteria for the scholarship are as follows:
• Must have graduated from a high school within 12 months of enrolling at Prairie View A&M University. • Student cannot be considered a transfer student from another college or university. • Must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative high school GPA. (3.50 on a 4.0 scale) • Must have a minimum 1200 SAT (Critical Reading and Math only) or 26 composite ACT score. Please note the
writing component (essay) is required. The SAT or ACT score is same day testing. A combination of test scores from multiple sittings will not be used to determine the minimum required score.
• The Regents’ Student Merit Scholarships are renewable up to four years (eight semesters) provided the student earns 30 semester credit hours per academic year with a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA.
• Coursework taken during a summer session cannot be used to meet the required credit load or GPA renewal requirements.
Presidential Academic Scholarship
The Presidential Academic Scholarship is $9,200.00 per year ($36,800.00 over eight semesters). The criteria for the Presidential scholarship are as follows:
• Must have graduated from a high school within 12 months of enrolling at Prairie View A&M University. • Student cannot be considered a transfer student from another college or university. • Must have a minimum 3.25 cumulative high school GPA. (3.25 on a 4.0 scale) • Must have a minimum 1120 SAT (Critical Reading and Math only) or 24 composite ACT score. The writing
component is required. • The Presidential Academic Scholarships are renewable up to four years (eight semesters) provided the student

The Lamar University Cardinal Scholarship is a $24,000 four-year award ($6,000 per year for four years) to incoming freshman students with strong academic and high school backgrounds. Entering freshmen with SAT scores (math+critical reasoning) of 1250 or ACT 28 are considered for this award. In addition to demonstrating excellence in prior academic work, students must have demonstrated a variety of leadership services.
