Teachers’ Meeting
We invite you to join us for the launch of our 2018 Lower North Coast Dance Festival and committee meet and greet.
Where: The Glasshouse, Port Macquarie When: Thursday 22 February 2018 Time: 5pm
Drinks and light nibbles will be served.
Please note: each school planning to participate must have a representative at this meeting.
Our committee is more than happy to discuss your item ideas and would love to support and assist you brainstorm further. We are really excited to hear everyone’s ideas.

2018 Lower North Coast Dance Festival

Public schools are invited to submit applications for items to be included in the 2018 Lower North Coast Dance Festival formerly known as the Southern Network Dance Festival.
The Festival offers schools the opportunity to display their work in dance in a theatrical setting, to a supportive audience. Items should be choreographed so they are age appropriate and be representative of the K – Stage 6 Dance Syllabus. This allows students to increase their understanding and accomplishment in dance and learn to appreciate the meaning and values dance offers personally, culturally and as a form of communication. Performing involves developing the safe execution of movement, confidence and using the elements of dance with expressive qualities. Interpreting dance to communicate moods, feelings and ideas is essential to the overall item quality.
The Festival is an inclusive celebration, not a competition.
