Trainings and Services Available:
• Training and Mini-Workshops – Offered throughout the year for all School Nutrition Program employees and administrators. Compliance, operations and hot topics are addressed in classes that provide both lecture and hands-on learning.
• Technical Assistance – Available at any time assistance is needed individually or in groups. Contracting Entities may request assistance for all School Nutrition Program compliance and non-compliance issues.
• Bi-Monthly Newsletters – Email newsletters keep School Nutrition Staff up-to-date on TDA and USDA happenings. Policy and program updates, upcoming deadlines, promotions, outreach and funding opportunities are communicated twice per month.
• Child Nutrition Program Review – An in-depth review of all aspects of The Child Nutrition Program, including: budget/financial, eligibility guidance, menu planning, purchasing/inventory, staffing/labor hours, and the new Smart Snacks Policy. A report of recommendations over each of the areas is provided.

Operations Summit: A 3½-day training series geared toward directors and employees wanting to enhance their compliance knowledge. The courses cover areas of compliance within the Child Nutrition Programs. Attendees may choose all courses or only those that apply to their specific functions within the entity.

The reality of being poor brings out a survival mentality in our students that we as educators may not understand. This workshop is intended to assist educators, administrators, and counselors to better understand our economically disadvantaged students and to improve our effectiveness in working with people from all socioeconomic backgrounds.
