Our diverse programmes support health, education and life skills development in neighbouring communities. We also help the community, particularly women, to engage in entrepreneurial ventures, thus better supporting their families and simultaneously gaining the skills and confidence to deal with issues that impact their lives.
The Activity Centre, an exclusive building on the factory premises for the use of members from the local community, houses a play-school, varied classes for school dropouts and underprivileged children and is used extensively by local women’s groups to hold meetings and training programmes.
The Shehernaz Medicare Centre, a full-fledged multi-speciality hospital with 30 beds is located on the Kasarwadi campus caters to approximately 35,000 outdoor and residential patients annually.
A token amount of Rs. 2.00 (about five cents) is paid by each patient and all other treatment is free.
