Scope of Work

Our goal was to design not only a logo but an icon for product, “The ZipIt App.” Whenwe spoke to in class you explained that the purpose of your app was to create a medium for communities to share. The app is going to take in the users interests and preferences and pulllocal businesses according to those interests.

You had said that you wanted the logos and icons to be clean and simple. Similar to themainstream logos and icons in todays social media. At first you didn’t have a preference for the colors that you wanted used but then later said you would like something vibrant and trendy.

You wanted us to think about what would attract us to your app when designing the logos and icons for your app. And also stated that you plan to have a very aggressive market-ing plan. Attached are three idea concepts that I created to go along with what I believe you were looking for with your app logo and icon.

So what I did with this logo was keep it sikple with a nice font and then I made the zip and it two different colors based out of the same color palette so that they still look similar. Then with the icon I split the square in half with the same two colors and used the Z with the same font so that the logo and icon would match. To the left is a business card I designed with the logo on it and two other pieces of collateral with the logo on them.

For this design I also tried to keep it simple like you wanted I just picked a nice font and removed the I in it and created a zipper handle to be the I. I chose a nice green as the color to keep it vibrant and trendy. I also kept it all lower case because I know that was something that you prefered. For the icon I threw in a gradient adding a yello to the green and used the zipper handle instead of the z this time. To the left is the business card I created with this logo and the other two pieces of collateral.

zFor this design I chose a 3D looking font and put the word zip inside a circle and kept it outside of the circle. I tried to keep it simple and trendy and I went with vibrant colors. Then for the icon I took the green from the font and put it as the background and then took a Z using the same font and put it in the square. On the left is the business card and the other two pieces of collateral for this logo design.
