As an active Trustee and Director of Kganya Benefits Fund Trust and the Kganya Group of Companies, I remain keenly interested in their

activities as a major service organisation to Zion Christian Church. The Kganya Group celebrated its 28th anniversary in March of 2017. Zion Christian Church has celebrated over 100 years of existence and this is indeed a remarkable era for both organisations.

I have come to the realisation that much has been achieved from very humble beginnings and both the Kganya Group and Church Officials must be commended for the manner in which they continue to be of service to you the individual member and loyal follower of Zion Christian Church.

I exhort the Kganya Group to continue to execute its mandate for the benefit of the congregation. I also urge you, as the ZCC member, to continue proving your loyalty and to freely make use of the many real benefits that the Kganya Group has to offer you. These are benefits that make a positive difference in the life of each member and as the Leader of the Church I remain comfortable that Church Leadership is doing everything in its power to ensure that members of the Church do not suffer unnecessarily.

Under my direction the Kganya Group will continue to develop products and projects that are of benefit to members of the Church. These products must at all times reflect the unity that we feel as members of the Church. They must always be dignified and must serve a real purpose in ensuring the prosperity of our members. times when a family member passes away. His Grace the Bishop wants every member to be treated fairly, equally and professionally at all times.

People with dependents, such as children, partners, or elderly parents, provide support to their dependents in many ways. Financial support often forms a significant component of the support provided. When a person is no longer able to provide this support, the dependents must find alternatives and this can take time. The Kganya Lebone Life Policy (the Policy) aims to ease the financial pressures which would be experienced during this transition.

The Policy is distributed via a Call Centre operation in terms of a joint venture between Sanlam Developing Markets Limited (SDM) and Kganya Alternative Distribution (Pty) Ltd (Kganya). Members of ZCC who are interested in taking out the Policy should approach a member of their Church Committee. The Committee member will complete a “Please Call Me” form which will be forwarded to the SDM Call Centre. Upon receipt of this form, a Call Centre Agent (who is a member of ZCC) will call the interested party and conclude the Policy.

“Please Call Me” forms and marketing material are distributed to the Zion Christian Church Committees by Kganya Insurance Administrators (Pty) Ltd (RF) via its Service Centre Managers.

The cover offered under the policy is whole-life cover. The Policy provides life cover for the Principal Life Assured only.

TERMS AND CONDITIONSThe principal terms and conditions of the Policy are as follows:

ELIGIBILITYCover is voluntary for all individuals.

START OF COVERCover Starts on the 1st (first) day of the following month after receipt of the first Premium.

PREMIUMS, LAPSES, AND GRACE PERIODPremiums are due monthly in advance on the first day of each month. The Policyholder has a Grace Period from the first day of the month to pay that monthy premium. Cover will continue, with no reduction in cover, during the Grace Period. The Policy will lapse at the end of the Grace Period if the premium is not paid within the Grace Period.

The Grace Period will extend by one calendar month for each complete 12 calendar month period that the Policy has been in-force. The Grace Period can be extended up to a maximum of 6 months.

Any outstanding premiums will be deducted from the claims payment before the payment is made.

UNDERWRITINGUnderwriting will be performed when a Principal Life Assured applies for cover, that is cover will either be accepted or rejected based on the results of a medical questionnaire (see below)

MEDICAL UNDERWRITINGNo medical examinations or pathology tests (HIV or other pathology) will be requested.

BENEFICIARYSDM will pay the benefit from this Policy to the nominated beneficiary. If that person is a minor, the money will be paid to their legal guardian. If the Policyholder did not nominate a beneficiary or the nominated beneficiary cannot be found, SDM will pay the money into the estate of the Policyholder/Principal Life Assured.

QUESTIONS INCLUDED IN THE MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIREThe following questions will be included in the medical questionnaire:

1. Have any of your applications for life cover in the past been declined or accepted with a loading or exclusion?

2. Have you ever claimed any benefit from sickness, disability or critical illness?

3. In the last ten years:

3.1 Did you need to sleep over in a hospital or day clinic for 2 nights or more, because of ill health (excluding for any operations or injuries or childbirth)?

3.2 Did you need to take medicines daily for any period longer than a month (excluding tablets for high blood pressure, high cholesterol and birth control tablets)?

3.3 Have you had an X-ray taken, ECG’s, any scan or ultrasound examination, blood tests or other tests that provided abnormal results (excluding pregnancy) and required treatement?
