How does the Immune System work?Antigens (foreign substances) are detected.

Antibodies are present to attack antigens again.

Immunizations introduce antigens to a person’s body.

T cells destroy antigens that have been “tagged” by antibodies.

Antibodies neutralize toxins and kill bacteria, viruses, and other infected cells.
