IITs have restricted the number of attempts for Jee advanced. Students now have only two chances

– one right after the XII Board exams and the second immediately in the next year. They should try to

succeed in JEE Advanced in the first attempt and not take unnecessary pressure as uncertainty of ill-

health or any accidents while appearing for the second & last attempt could be too risky. Till the eighties,

it was alright if you started your preparation just after XI and at the beginning of XII, but even then to

get Top Ranks you had to begin your preparation at the commencement of XI itself. In late nineties,

it became a norm to start preparation at the beginning of Class XI and devote at least two years to train

rigorously for Jee advanced.

a Student can avail only one scholarship (including cash scholarships awarded through

Talent Reward exams etc.) during his / her entire academic session of the program he /

she joins at fIITJee. In case, a Student is eligible for / awarded more than one scholarship

under different criterion, he can avail the scholarship amount whichever is higher but already

availed scholarship amount will be deducted from the same. Thebenefitofhigherscholarship

(excluding cash scholarship awarded through Talent Reward exam etc.) will be given only

from the date of such award on the balance proportionate fee i.e. {gross fee at the time of

enrollment - (initial scholarship amount availed + cost of services availed till the month of such

award)}. The amount will be refunded after the realization of payment of the last installment

of Program fee.

Students can claim Scholarships based on their performance in any Competitive / Scholastic

exams, only if they have appeared in the respective Competitive / Scholastic exam before

theBatchCommencement (other than any early joining academicbenefits) at FIITJEE and

these Students are not eligible for fIITJee Rewards for the Competitive / Scholastic exam

through which he / she has already availed the Scholarship. Students approaching fIITJee for

claiming the Scholarship based on their performance in any of the Competitive / Scholastic

exam in which they appear post their Batch Commencement at fIITJee are not eligible for

these Scholarships, however these Students will be eligible for fIITJee Rewards, please refer

The mentioned scholarships on the basis of nTSe / JSTSe / SSTSe / MTSe / KVPY /

olympiads are applicable only for the Students qualifying in the General Category.

The photocopy of the original certificate / marksheet of NTSE / JSTSE / SSTSE /

MTSe / KVPY / olympiads should be attested by the Principal of the school last attended /

presently studying.

Student claiming scholarship under X / XII Boards performance need to deposit the

photocopy of the marksheet (while showing the original Marksheet also) latest by

15th September, 2017, after which no application will be entertained. The Scholarship amount

will be paid after the realisation of payment of the last installment of Program fee.

The Scholarship amount will be paid to the Student through a crossed cheque and shall be in

favour of the Student only. no application for issuing of cheque in favour of parent / guardian

will be entertained.

In case, a Student reappears in fIITJee test, his / her scholarship (if awarded) will be

scaled down by one slab to ensure that he / she does not have any undue advantage over a

Other Category Fee Waivers

Fee Concession for siblings of Present / Ex-FIITJEEians

10% fee concession on Tuition fee to siblings (can be availed only once) i.e. fee concession to brother(s) /

sister(s) of Present / ex-fIITJeeians enrolled in any fIITJee Long Duration Classroom Program. Candidates

MALE STudENTS only, on the basis of merit. The hostel expenditure to be

borne by the Student is approximately Rs. 6,000/- to Rs. 9,000/- per month on

double occupancy basis and varies from one hostel to another and city to city.
