In the midst of busy schedules AFC Chapter members felt moved toshare their knowledge, experience and expertise by taking active roles. The purpose of this letter is to support the nomination of Professor Angel Rodriquez for the FACC Faculty Commission Professor of the Year Award competition. Professor Rodriguez has attained the highest levels of recognition for his teaching abilities at Broward College. He has received The Broward College Professor of the Year Award twice, and has also received the Endowed Teaching Chair Award from the Broward College Foundation. While active with professional associations, and as a Senator in the Broward College Faculty Senate, he always has time to work with students. The documents in the nomination package attest to the high level of his teaching abilities.

Award of Excellence 2010

AFC - Best Photography in Published Piece

2nd Place Winner: Mr. Rick Leffel

Broward College Telemedia Manager

Mr. Leffel received the award at the Communications and Marketing

Commission meeting during the State wide AFC convention in November,

2010. The commission was chaired by Dr. Joe Wallace and the award was

presented by Liz Love, from Florida Keys Community College. Although Mr.

Leffel was not present at the convention, his colleague, Daniela Circonciso

was there to pick up the award for him.

The two photos submitted were taken at the Broward College ‘Help Haiti Day’

event held at Central Campus on January 21, 2010:
