The Junior Performance Team works to monitor and improve learning in the Junior School (Year 7-9).

Student Planner
Homework PolicyAs a general guide, students in Junior School can expect to receive 60to 75 minutes of homework per evening. To avoid stress, studentsshould complete homework on the day they receive it.
Homework may not include time spent on preparing for assessment(examinations and assignments).
Teachers have been advised to set homework at the start or end of theweek to allow sufficient time for completion. There may be times whenit may be necessary to set nightly homework.
As part of their routine, students should: Engage in systematic revision of their work and pre-reading Engage in reading widely – material that consolidates or
extends on their class work; reading for pleasure;reading out of curiosity
Practise their skills by completing other relevant taskse.g. review sets, self-generated practice tests, extended writing.
Tutorial ScheduleBEAST• G102 is open every morning before school from 7.30am and every afternoon
after school from 2.50pm-4.30pm. Students wishing to access G102 mustuse the sign on register which is located in the BEAST staffroom.
Business• Tutorials for all year levels are conducted on Tuesday mornings from 8.15am
to 9.00am in Room G214. Check in at Room G215.English• Tutorials to be arranged on an individual basis with your English teacher.HPE• Tutorials to be arranged on an individual basis with your HPE teacher.Humanities• Due to the variety of different subjects offered in humanities, tutorials can be
arranged on an individual basis with the teacher. Senior Humanities teachersrun group tutorials in the weeks leading up to assessment. The times anddates are emailed to the students before the tutorial.

Explore Faith (Religious Instruction)
• Started on 6 February. • every Monday from 2:30-3pm - A Block. • Students in Year 7 can choose to go to Monday PM
program or ‘Explore Faith’.• Coordinated by accredited volunteers from the community
(with Blue Cards). • Three streams: Buddhist, Christian (Catholic) and
Christian (Inter-Church). • Once a term, streams will come together for a Worldview
Panel - collaborative discussion and dialogue about an important global topic.
• Students require written parental/ guardian consent for this optional program. (See email sent home)
