TERMS AND CONDITIONS• Participating countries listed at competition website – mea.yamaha.com.• Band consist of 2 to 6 members.• Minimum 15 years of age (with parental/guardian’s consent).• Band members should be the same in the course of the event.• Each member should belong to 1 band only.• 1 original song (lyrics/music arrangement).• Any music style/genre except European Classical Music.• Video-recorded live performance. - Not to exceed 6 minutes. - Video entry should be visibly and audibly clear. - Video performance should be recorded between January 01, 2017 and August 31, 2017.

HOW TO JOIN?• Visit mea.yamaha.com and register by filling up necessary information• Upload video or send URL link in You Tube or Vimeo

SCHEDULE

AWARDS AND PRIZES• Grand Winner shall be awarded a trip to Japan. Specific dates in November 2017 will be announced.

• Individual Awards from among all video entries: - Best Guitarist (Yamaha RS620 Revstar Electric Guitar) - Best Bassist (Yamaha TRBX505 Bass Guitar) - Best Keyboardist (Yamaha MX61 Synthesizer) - Best Drummer (Yamaha DTXM12 Electronic Percussion Pad) - Best Vocalist (Yamaha MG10XU mixer and MSP3 Studio Monitors)

JUDGING CRITERIA• Originality and quality of arrangements • Technical proficiency of individual instruments• Showmanship • Marketability and “X” factor of the band.• Overall sound and control

JUDGES Katsunori Ujiie (keyboardist) He is a creative director, composer, arranger, and keyboardist with a storied career in the field of software production, music production, and music education. As a sound designer he has created sounds for many Yamaha synthesizers such as the DX, SY, QY, VL, EX, CS, MOTIF and MONTAGE series. He has also appeared in over 400 video reviews of digital products, which have gained more than 17 million views on YouTube and attention from musicians and creators around the world. http://www.youtube.com/user/musictrackjp

Patti Ballinas (drummer) She is a drummer based in Palma De Mallorca, Spain. Her career spanned as a member of Angel’s Delight band with her 2 sisters. Her amazing approach to drumming landed her to play extensively with different musicians both live and recording sessions around the world. As a Yamaha endorser, she actively conducts drum clinics, demonstrations and performances both locally and abroad with top-notch artists such as Victor Wooten and Nathan East. She also finds time to teach drums at a local music school.

- Video and song lyrics should not be offensive and discriminatory, either in words or actions, to any person or nationality (regardless of sex, race, religion or others). - All band members should be visibly seen performing live the whole time of recording. - Organizer has the right to reject videos.• Besides drums, guitars and keyboards, all kinds of musical instruments such as music sequencer, sampler, DJ gears, etc. are allowed to use.• Participants can play Yamaha and non-Yamaha products.
