The start of the short film shows a “noise” screen before fading into the title part of the film.

The title fades similarly to the first screen of the noise. In the background we see the main character dancing

The dancing used is not the style of dance that would stereotypically be used in the 70’s (almost 80’s) however this is what I like about these shots of her dancing.

The shots used of Emily and Thomas dancing establish a connection straight away

There is a sense of disequilibrium when “Emily and Thomas” have a stumble. This is very common in films. The scene in which the winner is announced is very

unrealistic as there is no one else in the theatre when it is trying to be made to be seen that way.

The kiss between the two main characters is very realistic. This is a few years later and the connection is finally made.

The time jump works really well and you know straight away these are the two characters from before and they have lived a long happy life together.

It is made clear that the previous dance shot was a dream and Emily is now too ill to dance.

Overall, the short film is very convincing and realistic and makes the viewer feel emotion.
