methodological basis of musical esthetic. The issues of musical esthetic are considered in the article. The analysis of history of development of musical esthetical idea s development of different epochs allows to determine the philosophical esthetical basis of modern musical

esthetical knowledge and to comprehend the subject of musical esthetic, its categories and definitions.

The search of new methodological basis of musical

theoretical knowledge requires the attention to metatheory of music, according to which the music is considered as general cultural phenomenon in the context of cultural

historical process of the society development. Music as an integral part of spiritual culture in methodological plane of musical cultural study is a system with certain social context, within which music works, process of creative activity, social institutions are united.
