    Purpose :a) Removal of dissolved gases, such as carbon dioxide etc .

    Flash Mixer : In the flash mixer, coagulant chemicals

    are added to the water and the water is mixed by amixer. The purpose of this step is to evenlydistribute the chemicals through the water. Afterflash mixing, coagulation occurs.Volume : 14.6 M3

    Mixer RPM : 76During coagulation, the coagulant chemicalsneutralize the electrical charges of the fine particlesin the water, allowing the particles to come closertogether and form large particle, called Mini Floc.

    FLOCCULATION ZONE :Flocculation : Flocculation, a gentle mixing

    stage, increases the particle size of microfloc.The microflocs are brought into contact witheach other through the process of slow mixing.Collisions of the microfloc particles cause them

    to bond to produce larger Floc for settlement.
