Anita Ruth(Orchestrator)

Anita Ruth is an orchestrator, arrangerand musical director active in the

Minneapolis/St. Paul area. She has pre­

pared over 150 musicals in the last thirtyyears. She was the musical director of theChanhassen Dinner Theaters from 1968

to 1988. Since then she has been a free­lance music director and orchestrator at

the Guthrie Theater, the Children's

Theatre, Bloomington Civic Theatre and

Theatre Mu among others. She has been

the arranger/music director for three

Shakespeare productions at the Guthrieas well as music directing their produc­tion of A Christmas Carol for the last

seven years. In 2004 she orchestratedtwo operas composed by Mel Marvin ­

one presented in Holland and the other

at Bard College.

Joshua Rosenblum

(VocalArrangementsandIncidental Music)

Has conducted thirteen Broadway and

Off Broadway shows, specializing inflying vehicles (Miss Saigon, Chitty

Chitty Bang Bang, Dr. Seuss' J-/ow theGrinch Stole Christmas!). He is the

composer/lyricist of the Off Broadwaysmash hit revue Bush is Bad, Fermat's

Last Tango and finstein's Dreams. As apianist, he has appeared with the New

York Pops at Carnegie Hall and in solo

recitals at Symphony Space. I=acultymember: Yale University Department of

Lou Spisto directs both the artistic andadministrative activities of The Old

Globe. During his tenure, Mr. Spistospearheaded the return of the

Shakespeare Repertory Company,revitalized the Globe's new works

program, resulting in ten world premiereplays and eight world premiere musicals,

and produced more than 100 produc­

tions. Under Mr. Spisto's leadership,ticket sales and contributions have

increased substantially, and the fiscalhealth of the organization has beenstrengthened to support the expanded

artistic vision. Mr. Spisto has successfullyled the Globe's $75 million Capital

Campaign and managed the develop­ment of the Conrad Prebys TheatreCenter, which includes a new state-of­the-art arena theatre and education

center, opening in December 2009.An advocate of arts education, Mr. Spisto

created a number of new programs thatserve tens of thousands of young San

Diegans each year. These programs

include a bilingual summer Shakespeareintensive, a major initiative in

Southeastern San Diego which includesthe development of new works for

younger and more diverse audiences,and free student matinees of the Globe's

regular productions. Mr. Spisto holds a

Master's degree from the University ofWisconsin and a Bachelor's degree fromthe University of Notre Dame. f-1ehasserved as chief executive for the Pacific

Symphony, Detroit Symphony andAmerican Ballet Theatre.
