Come Pray for Unity
and Our Nation
Monday, November 5 @ 7 PM we will gather
together to participate in one of the great tradi-
tions of the Episcopal Church – Corporate Pray-
er. Prayer together is so much more powerful
than prayer apart.
Our Book of Common Prayer has wonderful pray-
ers for our Nation and for all those in Authority.
We don’t hear them that often and we should.
This is a non-partisan event – open to all. Let us
gather together to ask God’s blessing upon our
country and upon us as citizens, praying for the
peace and unity that only God can give us.
I invite you and your friends to join together
here at your church for a simple Prayer Service
this Monday at 7 PM in our main sanctuary.

Veteran's Day Breakfast
Our Parish Breakfast next Sunday, November
11th will be a Veteran’s Day Breakfast. Local vet-
erans groups have been invited to the breakfast
and the service. We are inviting veterans to come
in uniform or bring uniforms and memorabilia
for display. Please plan on joining us at 9 AM and
bring your favorite dish to share.
Fall Clean-up Day
We need your help with our Annual Fall Clean-up Day on November 1 0th at 9AM (rain date 11/17) Please bring gloves, leaf blowers & rakes if you have them.
Worshipping With Us
Episcopal worship is participatory. We stand, we kneel, we speak, sometimes we sing! Please join in at your level of comfort. If you’d like to learn more about what we as Episcopalians believe or if you have any questions, please fill out one of the yellow cards in the pew and give it to Mother Susan or one of our ushers. We hope you feel welcome here and that you will come back often to feed your faith.
A Word About Receiving Communion in the Episcopal Church
All are invited to the Altar to receive. If you would like a blessing, just cross your arms over your chest. If you decide to receive only the bread, ex-tend your hand for the wafer and cross your arms over your chest to decline the wine. For the wine or grape juice you may guide the chalice to your lips by placing your hand gently on the chalice’s base and guiding it. Or you can dip your host (wafer) into the wine. Or you can give the host to the Lay Eucharistic Minister, who will dip the host into the wine and place it in your mouth.
Food Pantry
Next week, November 3 & 4 we are collecting Tuna for the Pitman Food Pantry. All donations are greatly ap-preciated and accepted.
Please Be Considerate of Our Neighbors! We are so glad you're here! But when you park near the church, please be considerate of our neighbors and make sure you have fully cleared their driveways. Thank you!
Forward Day by Day
The new issue of Forward Day by Day for November, December, January is on the table at the back of the church. Please take one, they are filled with wonderful meditations for every day.
CLASS will meet on Sunday, June 5, follow-ing the morning service in the Conference Room. Our topic this month will be "Evil, Suf-fering & A Loving God." Mark your calendar for the next study of Up-pity Women of the Bible! We'll begin on Thursday, September 8 at 9:30 a.m. (following Morning Prayer). Our focus for this study will be the book of Judith. Watch for more details toward the end of summer.
Holly Fair Information - Dec. 1!
We are collecting items for the “Dollar Store”, "More Than a Dollar Store" and the "Christmas Store", if you have any gently used items that fall into these categories... please consider donating them! (Please no stuffed animals, bedding or misc. dishes.) You can drop them off in the All Purpose Room downstairs starting October 22nd. We are also looking for donations for our Holly Fair Table. We hope you will consider making some items for us to sell. If you have any questions, please call Jenniffer
and Rich Harrington at 856-383-0823.
Holly Fair Crafters Needed If you or someone you know is a crafter and would be interested in renting a table please let us know. Applications are available on the Holly Fair Table in the Parish Hall or on our website.
Sharing With Students
We have kicked off our first “Sharing With Students” pro-ject, which is a huge blessing to many Rowan stu-dents. You will find a box in the back of the church where we are collecting needed toiletries. After paying for clas-ses and other expenses, students often have nothing left for a basic food plan or products we take for grant-ed. THE SHOP at Rowan was created to help with such needs. Good Shepherd is helping with the toilet-ries! Barbara Elliott will take your donations to THE SHOP at Rowan where they will be made available to students.

Good Shepherd Library
We have lots of great books in our library. Fiction is in the Parish Hall and around the corner in the hallway, where you will also find non-fiction and spiritual reading materials. All books are sorted alphabetically by authors’ last names. Feel free to help yourself to any books. There is no sign-out required. Keep the book, pass it on, donate it or return it by placing it in the bin provided on the top of the bookshelf. Enjoy!

Pop Tab Collection for Ronald McDonald House
We are currently collecting Pop Tabs from soda, veg-etable and other metal cans for the Ronald McDonald House. There is a jar in the Parish Hall for your dona-tions. Please remember it’s for ANY METAL PULL TABS, from any type of can. Thank you Cathie Brettman!
