1. Investment Project Financing
Real Estate Management Project in SERBIA
IBRD financing: US$ 44 mil
Objective: Improve efficiency, transparency, accessibility and reliability of the country’s real
property management systems
Achievements: Recent appraisal mission, Procurement Plan to be built
1. Investment Project Financing
Municipal Services Improvement Project in MACEDONIA IBRD financing: Original Loan (US$ 25 mill) and AF (US$ 75 mill)
Objective: To support sustainable delivery of Municipal Services
Achievements:
Water supply systems
Roads/bridges,
Street lighting/Energy efficiency
Municipal buildings
1. Investment Project Financing
Second Solid Waste Management in BOSNIA and Herzegovina
IBRD financing: US$ 39.86 million
Objective: improve the availability, quality, environmental soundness, and financial
viability of solid waste management services in participating utilities/regions
Achievements: Improved disposal management system, Improved ground water quality,
access to solid waste collection in urban areas increased
Water Sector Investment Project in ALBANIA
Objectives:
(i) improve the quality of water and wastewater
services in the Durres Water Utility
(ii) improve the financial performance of the Utility
Financing:
Six water supply production wells
Bulk water supply pipeline
Investments in elevated reservoirs along the pipeline
Priority investments in Durres city
1. Investment Project Financing
Additional Financing for MISP (EU-IPA) in MACEDONIA
Objective: Perform Rural infrastructure investments including
(i) addressing the gaps in investments and service between
rural and urban settlements
(ii) providing grants for municipalities with relatively weaker
financial capacity
(iii) helping absorb IPA funds
Total EU-IPA financing: US$ 15.5 million
2. EU’s Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA)
Additional Financing for Second Solid Waste Management in BOSNIA
Objective: Scale up the solid waste infrastructure programs in the
municipalities of Neum, Bosanska Krupa, Srebrenik, and the City of
Sarajevo
Total EU-IPA financing: US$ 4.7 million
2. EU’s Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA)
Danube Delta Integrated Sustainable Development Strategy in ROMANIA Objective: Contribute to planned and environmentally-sensitive development of the Danube Delta region Components: (i) Integrated Sustainable Development Strategy for the Region
(ii) Action plans to help implement Strategy (iii) Support development of a new EU instrument called Integrated Territorial Investments (ITI)

Danube Delta Integrated Sustainable Development Strategy
Assistance for Inter-communal Development Association (ADI) in ROMANIA
Objective: to build foundations to coordinate and support implementation of the Integrated
Territorial Investments (ITI) based on the Danube Delta Development Strategy
Components:
(i) Supporting the development of resources necessary to observe the ITI requirements
(ii) Strengthening the ADI capacity
(iii) Supporting visibility for ADI ITI DD and project promotion.

1. ALBANIA – Reducing Risks and Building Resilience (National Disaster Risk Management Strategy, Capacity building for DRM-related agencies) funded by GFDRR
2. MACEDONIA – Improving Energy Efficiency in Municipal Services (Municipality’s energy efficiency improvement plan, Pre-feasibility Studies for energy efficiency investments) funded by ESMAP
