Nieves has poems forthcoming or recently published in journals such as: Southern Review, Poetry Northwest, Copper Nickel, Beloit Poetry Journal and 32 Poems. He won the Indiana Review Poetry Contest and his first book, Curio, won the Elixir Press Annual Poetry Award Judge’s Prize. He is an Assistant Professor of English at Salisbury University. He received his M.A. from University of South Florida and his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri. Poetry and fiction by Barbara DeCesare have been published in Gargoyle, Poetry, Free State, and others. She is a graduate of the Goddard Space Program Graduate Writing Program, and the author of the collections Jigsaweyesore (Anti-Man Press), Adrift (Seventh Wave), and Silent Type (Paper Kite Press), as well as a bunch of tiny plays, odd works of fiction, and the one- woman-no-woman show, You’re Soaking In It.
