RACO Pocket and byparting doorframes feature trim and jamb extrusionswhich have the same 9/32" standoff and11/2" reveal as other RACO frames. Al­though load is not a factor, it is recom­mended that doors intended for pocketapplication be ordered 15/6" thickness toincrease running clearance. However,1314" doors can be used. RACOAir-Core@ doors are recommended.The SL-3A track incorporates outboardfins which add strength, align the headerassembly, and position the pocket fram­ing studs, SL-5. These studs are made ofspruce reinforced with 18 ga. steel chan­nels and are furnished with 14 ga. steelfloor brackets. All jamb and header inter­sections are prefitted when completeframes are ordered.

Recommended installation procedure: Gypsum boardopening = 0-7/8".

Prestige type1. Install SL-1 fixed jamb to bottom of PR-1 header.2. Install SL-3A track twice door width. Run screws to wood beam

each 12". Place SL-4N rollers in track.

3. Install SL-5 wood studs at door opening plus '/a" and at midpoint ofpocket engaging track and steel floor clips. Add SL-10 channeland shoot to floor. Install R-23 bumper.

4. Place spreader in pocket and attach gypsum board using laminat­ing adhesive plus screws. Remove spreader.

5. Attach SL-2 pocket trim mouldings using laminating adhesive.6. Hand and adjust door. Install SL-3S closure plates to cover crack

at top of door.

Freestanding type (ceiling height)1. Install SL-1 fixed jamb to top of frame.2. Cut section of PR-1 header to door width less 1"; attach at head.

Install SL-3A track twice door width. Run screws to wood beameach 12". Place SL-4N rollers in track.

3. Install SL-5 wood studs at door opening plus '/a" and at midpoint ofpocket engaging track and steel floor clips. Add SL-10 channeland shoot to floor. Install R-23 bumper.

4. Place spreader in pocket and attach gypsum board using laminat­ing adhesive plus screws. Remove spreader.
