Northwestern Lumber Association and the Wisconsin Lumber Dealers Education Foundation will be hosting the annual Wisconsin Lumber Dealers Leadership Conference on February 4th at the Glacier Canyon Conference Center in Wisconsin Dells. This one-day conference is designed to bring together retail lumberyard owners, managers, and sales teams to network and learn from each other and our featured speakers.

This year’s speaker line-up includes LBM industry trainer Rick Davis of Building Leaders, Tony Misura, founder of Misura Group, Emily Overson of Emily Overson Consulting and workplace safety consultant, Tim Peterson, from OECS. Along with our amazing speakers and seminars, the conference also provides you the chance to seek guidance and insight from your fellow Wisconsin and Upper Michigan dealers during the Future Lumber Leaders Roundtable and networking events.

The Future Lumber Leaders Roundtable provides new owners and emerging business leaders a forum to share best practices and exchange ideas to overcome today’s business challenges. This year Tony Misura from the Misura Group, will join the meeting to act as a sounding board for your questions on leadership.

OSHA at Your DoorPresenter: Tim Peterson, OECS9:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

A visit from an OSHA inspector can be stressful and many businesses do not know their rights. Do you know what you should do when OSHA shows up at your business? During this workshop, Tim Peterson, VP of Operations at OECS, will teach you some tips from workplace safety experts to help employers navigate through an OSHA inspection.

Following the morning sessions, a buffet lunch will be served. This break provides a great opportunity to meet and talk with your peers from around the state. Author and sales training expert for the building materials industry, Rick Davis, will introduce you to new concepts to create sales on purpose. CANCELLATION POLICYCancellations must be received by the NLA office no later than January 24th in order to receive a refund. After January 24th, meal guarantees will have been submitted to the facility, so cancellations or no-shows will not receive a refund.

Hotel room reservations and cancellations are the responsibility of the individual guests.

The leadership conference is designed specifically for the retail segment of the lumber and building material industry. LBM professionals (dealers & suppliers) are invited to attend. This event is not open to the general public. Everyone must have a badge and pay the appropriate fees to attend events.
