History

HUS is a family company established in 1990 and headquartered in the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. It is specialized in manufacturing and trading of steel products. HUS proved to be a reliable partner and gained a superior reputatio on the Bulgarian and East European markets.Over the years the company has constantly invested in hi-end machinery, modern production facilities, warehouses and in the development and qualification of its employees. The wide range of steel products and the high volumes of stock enable the company to meet the market demand for steel goods in various fields – construction, engineering, steel processing, and others.The business strategy of HUS is building and keeping sustainable long-term relationship with its partners. For more than two decades of development , competence and experience in the steel industry we have evidenced a long list of successful business partnerships. The group has the following assets:• 14 warehouses, commercial, industrial and office facilities spreading on a total area of 600 000 m² (200 000 m² covered area)• Over 70 000 metric tons of constantly available steel products on stock• More than 800 highly qualified employees firmly committed to the company’s values and goals• More than 50 heavy-lift trucks ensuring a prompt delivery• Financial capacity and liquidity which enables the company to meet all of its obligations to suppliers and partners on time, and invest in further business development• Technical equipment for production of various steel products and performing steel processing services

HUS is a manufacturer of low carbon hot-dip galvanized and black wire. The production plant spreads out on more than 25 000 m2, with 7 000 m2 covered area for industrial production, heavy-lift cranes, administrative building and other assets. The mill is equipped with five modern drawing lines as well as a fully automatic galvanizing line capable of coating 28 separate wires at once. Each coil is stretched in foil and stored in a robotized storage racking system preventing the products from external weather impacts.Production range is from Ф1.2 mm to Ф8. The outcome production capacity is more than 2 000 metric tons per month. The factory is located in the city of Shumen which is only 90 km. away from the biggest Bulgarian Black Sea port – Varna and approximately 100km. away from Ruse which is the biggest Bulgarian Danube port ensuring for a substantial advantage from logistics point of view.

HUS applies Management system as per EN ISO 9001:2008, EN 14001:2004, BS OHSAS 18001:2007, and is certified by TUV NORD for the following scope of activity:Supply and trade: Hot rolled, cold-rolled steel in coils and sheets, with or without coating; Profiles of structural steel; Welded and seamless pipes, with or without coating, construction and hydro-tested; Hot rolled sections of structural steel: angle, flat, square and round for general purposes; Steel for the reinforcement of concrete structures; other products for general purposes; Hardware products; Insulation panels. Production of: Cold formed welded structural hollow sections with or without hydro-test; Hot Dip Galvanized wire; Cold formed steel sections; Metal profiles for Plasterboard construction systems; Cut sheets and strips; Welded mesh for reinforcement of reinforced concrete construction; Reinforcing bars; Roofing sheets; Fence mesh made out of steel wire.
