WHERE CHILDREN LEARN, GROW, THRIVE At the Y, we regard each child as a unique individual who needs to be understood, guided, encouraged and appreciated. At this early age, play is a child’s most important form of learning and development. We provide programs and activities where children learn, explore, develop athletic skills, build a positive self-image and develop social relationships with other children.

Help your child be kindergarten ready. Enroll them in a YMCA pre-k programs today.

2016 WINTER/SPRING SESSIONSPRE-K PROGRAMS (0-5 yrs)

PRESCHOOL EARLY LEARNING Preschool is an exciting time as children embark on new adventures in the world of learning. At the YMCA, we regard each child as a unique individual who needs to be understood, guided, encouraged and appreciated.

Our program provides activities where children learn, explore, build a positive self-image and develop strong social and emotional relationships. The Y's program encourages children to explore their creativity through multi-sensory experiences and creates a language-rich environment to promote and foster a love of reading. Children are exposed to art, music, math and science as well as develop expressive and receptive language and gross motor skills.

PORPOISE SUMMER SWIM TEAM (AGES 5-18)The Kroehler Family YMCA offers an indoor summer swim team:

Porpoise Swim Conference Summer Swim Team (Ages 5-18)

Join us for a fun swim season as we compete with other Naperville teams as a part of the Naperville swim conference. This is a great way to introduce your child(ren) into the world of competitive aquatics. Swimmers must be active Members of the Naperville YMCA. New swimmers will need to demonstrate their swimming skills and then will be assigned a specific practice group based on ability. The Porpoise Summer Swim Team will be run out of the Kroehler Family YMCA indoor pool. We will still be competing against the same subdivision pools as in the past years. Being at an indoor facility has its benefits such as no weather issues to deal with during practices and a consistent pool temperature. We now offer a choice of morning, afternoon or evening practices to fit your scheduling needs.

See our website at www.swimnapy.com for days and times of swimmer evaluations. Practice days and times will be posted on the website closer to the start of the season along with fee and volunteer requirements. Email Coach Bob at [email protected] with any questions about swim team.

WE HAVE KIDDIE EXPRESS!While you are working out, your child can be attending a class. If our preschool enrichment class times don’t match up with your class times our Kiddie Country staff will walk your child to class. Please ask for more information in Kiddie Country!

FRY SWIM LEAGUE (AGES 7-14)This new program is designed for advanced swimmers, ready for something more than swim lessons, but not ready to commit to a year round team. The Fry Swim League provides a team-like training atmosphere for participants to refine competitive swim strokes and build endurance. With a focus on competitive racing skills, swimmers will learn racing strategies, diving skills and use of the pace clock. Swimmers are broken into groups based on age and all participants are encouraged to join us for a mini meet at the end of each session. This class will take place at least two times per week, make-ups will be very limited. Program will launch in January 2016 and follow the Winter, Spring I, Spring II sessions.

Prerequisite: Students must have passed the shark level, or be evaluated by staff prior to registration.

Please refer to our website fryymca.org for more information and contact the aquatics team at [email protected].

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS (AGES 3 & UP)Private lessons are the perfect answer for the participant who cannot make our scheduled group lessons or need a little extra attention. To request a private lesson, please complete the online request form available on our website.

Private Swim Lessons: Are available for participants ages 3 and up. These 30 minute, 1-on-1 lessons are offered in 4, 8, or 12 packages.

Semi Private Swim Lessons: Are available for participants ages 3 and up. These 30 minute, 2-on-1 lessons are offered in 4, 8, or 12 packages. Both participants must be at similar age and ability levels. Note: Both participants must be members to receive member rate.

Adaptive Private Swim Lessons: These 30 minute lessons are available to participants ages 3 & up with special needs. In order to sign up for these lessons you will need to get approval from a director. Approval is given based on each child's specific needs. Porpoise Swim Conference Summer Swim Team (Ages 5-18)

THE Y. SO MUCH MORE™ At the Y we are more than a gym. We are a cause dedicated to building strong children, families and communities—inside and out. This includes making our programs available to all regardless of need—because at the Y, everyone belongs. You can help us in the cause. Change a life by making a gift to the YMCA. Because membership dues and program fees support our daily operations, your gift will go directly to serving children and families in need.

The impact of your gift will be felt when:• A kindergartner starts school ready to learn because

he attended the Y’s early learning center.• Kids have a safe, nurturing environment to

go to after school and in the summer.• A parent spends quality time with their child while playing basketball.• A teen receives tutoring and mentoring to help them

succeed in school and prepare for college.• A child loses weight–and enjoys it–because at the Y, exercise is play.
