Workshop…

WHAT YOU THINK IS WHAT YOU FEEL:

THE EMOTIONAL ASPECT OF CHRONIC PAIN & STRESS

Thursday, March 27, 2014

6:30 – 8:00 PM, in the Community Room

Pain and stress are an inevitable part of life, and pretty much everyone we know – maybe even ourselves -- is dealing with some sort of chronic condition or illness. We tend to deal with it, though, as a diagnosis or a label, and we completely disregard how we feel about that diagnosis. But in fact, our emotions play a big part in how well our immune system works, how we heal, and how we recover from the experience. This workshop will help you to understand the role of emotions in handling pain and stress, and teach you to let go of the negative emotions so that, even when you’re facing life challenges, you can experience peace and grace.

As a Mind Body Coach, Certified Hypnotherapist, Meditation Teacher and Reiki Master, June Hyjek offers extensive experience in pain and stress management, working with clients to help them move through life’s transitions with grace and peace. Her practice emphasizes techniques that work to create physical, emotional and spiritual fitness. June is a graduate of the Advanced Training Program at the Center for Mind Body Medicine, a Certified Hypnotherapist, and has done extensive training in a wide variety of meditative techniques and practices. She is also the author of her inspirational book, “Unexpected Grace: A Discovery of Healing through

Surrender,” and her deeply relaxing meditation CD, “Moving Into Grace.”
