Wild Spirit Journeys 9 Days, 8 Nights Whale Watching Trip -‐ Baja California Sur
Detailed Itinerary for March 20 – 28, 20159 days, 8 nights; $3275 (dbl. ocpy.) Join us for this life-‐changing naturalist-‐guided adventure to Baja California Sur. We will encounter whales, dolphins and other wildlife in Loreto Bay on the Sea of Cortés. On the Pacific side, we’ll encounter gray whales in San Ignacio Lagoon. Friday, March 20 – Fly from Los Angeles to Loreto, Baja California Sur. We’ll walk to town for a wonderful seafood dinner. D
Saturday, March 21 – Island boat excursion includes whale watching and observation of other wildlife, such as sea lions, pelicans, blue-‐footed boobies and possibly big horn sheep. B, L
Sunday, March 22 – Travel to Mulegé for a delightful lunch by the sea on the way to San Ignacio. In San Ignacio, we will spend two nights in “yurts” at the oasis of
Ignacio Springs B & B and dine on gourmet food for dinner. B, L, D Monday, March 23 – (San Ignacio) Optional cave painting day trip (lunch included) or visit the mission, museum, and shops in town or kayak in the waters of the oasis. B, D
Tuesday, March 24 – Van transport to San Ignacio Lagoon at Kuyimá Campsite on the Pacific. Gray whale watching trips and afternoon field trips. We will stay in cozy cabins. B, L, D
Wednesday, March 25 – Naturalist guided whale watching tour in the morning, nature sight-‐seeing tour in the afternoon (optional second whale watching tour). Friday, March 27 – Return to San Ignacio for mission and museum visits, shopping and lunch. Transport to Loreto with stopover in Santa Rosalia at the Eiffel church. Last supper in Loreto. B, D Saturday, March 28 – Enjoy group breakfast. Meet at hotel lobby at 11:00 am for van ride to airport. Depart Loreto for LAX. B
