The most satisfying experience for me this year has been the outstandingengagement of our Members and their Spouses in all activities of our Club, whether it is attendance at regular meetings, fellowships, district events and above all, projects. I urge everyone to continue to rise and give, serve, attend and light up Rotary with fellowship and service.

He spoke on “Humour in Law“ and had the audience in splits. There was never a dull moment during the time he addressed the Rotarians at Bombay Worli. He related many anecdotes which had actually transpired in Courts which other-wise is a serious affair.Only a person who in well - versed with all aspects of the subject can see the lighter side of it and can appreciate the humour involved. He managed a continuous ripple of laughter fromour members for the entire duration of the meeting

THE MATHEMAGICIAN who can recite Mathematical tables between 1 upto1 million and five digit multiplications, square roots and cure roots within seconds , showed his skills to Worlians at the meeting and surprised everyone with his Mathemagical ability. The session was interactive and involved many members while giving tips on Memory, Concentration, as well as how to remember birthdays, names and faces in day to day life.

Across the canvas of the vibrant but congested Bhendi Bazaar will come alive the grand vision of Saifee Burhani Upliftment Project (SBUP). Our very own Rotarian gave us a presentation on this re-development plan and how difficult it will be. Yet, the sole intention of creating a holistic milieu, the project will realize the dreams of the people of Bhendi Bazaar, both commercial & residential, to live life to its fullest potential with better standard of living and inclusive growth.

CORE TO HAPPINESS is the interpersonal relationships and communications as the best way to feel happy and spread happiness amongst people we meet on day to day basis. We must express any one or more ways of appreciation from the six areas where we can touch upon to make a person happy.

1] Physical 2] Mental 3] Emotional 4] Social 5] Spiritual / Soul 6] Professional

Everyone had high hopes out of the first full year Union Budget presented by ‘Modisarkar’ and so was the expectation out of the speaker who was to delve on the topic ‘Effect of Budget 2015 on business’. He, through examples showed the gap between the thinking of the Government and that of the Draftsman ‘Man proposes & God disposes’ but here is the situation of ‘FM proposes but draftsman disposes’.

On the eve of International Day of Happiness we had an opportunity to listen to the founder of ‘Di Cube’ company who’s main purpose is to bring happiness in both professional and personal lives of people. He stressed on how important it is to be happy and face the world with a smile. He gives importance to small pleasures in life. These simple messages conveyed by him through real life stories, incidents and video presentations left us all enthralled and thinking.

The Four Season’s Chef comes to Mumbai directly from Cairo with over 21 years experience around the world in Lebanese, Arabic, French, Asian and American Latin cuisines. The enthusiasm of Worlians was so great that a record breaking audience of 48 members and spouses and guests were present. A highly interactive session where many of our foodies learnt how to make international dishes from the Chef. The atmosphere and ambiance was electric and full of energy.

A joint initiative of RC worli with our Chartered Member Rtn.Baldev at Gurunanak High School, Mahim. More than 520 children were examined by Doctors for various infections, diseases and eye problemst that came to light and were prescribed treatment, hospitalization and surgery in certain cases..

We were obliged by DG Ajay Gupta who attended the projectat short notice, although his schedule for the day was overbooked.

Dr.Sunil Keswani, Medical Director of National Burns Centre, Airoli not only runs a state of the Art intensive Burns Care Unit and Skin collections and preservation burns patients but also like a true Rotarian believes in service above self. About 20,000 children are educated in more than 100 schools in and around Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane on awareness of burns preventions and skin donation.

The best 350 children who attended the program in different languages appeared for the IMPACT test after the talk, were selected for Awards which were given out by President Kiran Vora and First Lady Prerna.

The program not only educated thousands of children in Burns awareness and prevention but also raises the team spirit in the children.

The flag ship project of the ClubJAIPUR FOOT has been going on from strength to strength on regular basis. Nine screening camps were held between January to March at different locations in and around Mumbai with 718 Prospective beneficiaries were screened to identify and take measurements of final beneficiaries for Jaipur Foots, Calibers, etc.

151 beneficiaries received Calibers, Jaipur Foots, Crutches and wheel chairs in this quarter.

Further camps in and out of Mumbai will continue throughout the next quarter.

After the Camp, there was a District Medical Seminar for Thalassamia at Haffikine Institute, Parel.

The Cancer Awareness Camp was conducted at Adarsh Municipal School at Worli where 130 persons were screened for Cancer.

After the Cancer Detection Camp in the Morning we enjoyed a wonderful Musical afternoon where Deepak and His Team sang Melodiously at Ravindra Natya Mandir at the program titled "Rajesh Khanna - Ek Suhana Safar".

Later, the Rotarian and Spouses had a great evening over Cocktails and Dinner while celebrating Devika and Sandeep Shah's Anniversary.

PP Rtn. Sandeep Shah conceptualised this project in which more than 111 children at Village Wada recieved slumber kits distributed at the hands of eight visiting Canadian Volunteers from SCAW (Sleeping Children Around the World) Team. Over 2100 kits of over Rs. 2000 each comprising of 2 dresses / raincoat / blanket / water bottle / mattress / lunch box were distributed between 20 Rotary Clubs in 5 areas.

Rtn.Taizoon arranged for buses to bring children to the distribution centre and personally assisted each child in carrying the heavy kit donatedto them from the point of distribution to the waiting bus on their return journey. The GLEE in the eyes of the young children on receiving the kit was priceless.
